We had BTTR Booths for my wedding and it was great! They were affordable and professional. Everyone loved the booth, there were plenty of props to choose from. The "booth" itself was roomy and had plenty of space for larger groups. Everyone from the young 20 year olds to the older folks had a blast! Included in our wedding 4 hour package was video options, a scrapbook with extra prints, and a USB of photos- all of which was sufficient for our 60 person wedding event. The attendant was very careful to print an extra print each time so that we can get a copy of the prints in our scrapbook mini binder and we didn't miss a single moment. Don't hire this company! It has an "F" rating with the Better Business Bureau. I found this out after a most unpleasant exchange on Facebook with the owner, Jakub Lakomski. When I inquired about his expertise he gave me the biggest run-around possible. When I persisted, he made every attempt to bully me - from racism to sexism to ageism. He continued to insult me, repeatedly saying I was delusional (which he repeatedly misspelled) and mentally ill. Can you imagine?! Do NOT book with this company, especially if you're a woman. I quote: "I have no use for women except financially." How this guy can stay in business is beyond my comprehension. This morning I woke up to more insults from Jakub Lakomski, threatening to sue me if I don't remove this review. He deleted most, if not all, of his comments in our dialogue on FB. Then he went back and reposted trying to cover his tracks. And lied about our conversation. But I saved much of our conversation so I have proof of his abhorrent, rude, bullying behavior. Below is a snippet of what he wrote to me by private message this morning. Same language, limited vocabulary and misspellings, calling me mentally ill because I stood up to this brute and would not back down. I am now considering taking HIM to court as his slander to me and my business (which he knows nothing about) was done on a public forum. I wish there was a lower option then 1 star. Lindsay never returned a single phone call. took multiple day to respond to questions, confirmed availability, quoted a price and asked me to book. I responded within 1 hour and more than 24 hours later she responded that they would not have a technician available and could not book. I hired them for my daughter's sweet 16 party. I would have given them 5 stars except for the frustration I had with the invoicing. I received an invoice, paid it the same day, then 10 days later I receive an email stating they didn't receive my payment in time and they would be cancelling my contract if they didn't get the payment within 24 hours. I wrote that same day stating the payment had been made and didn't hear back for 3 days, imagine my frustration when I am thinking they had my payment and were cancelling since I hadn't heard back from them. Then I get the next invoice for the remaining payment due on 12/16/2014; then on 12/29/2014 I get another invoice, I pay the invoice by the due date. We are now 2 days after the event and I am getting an email that they cancelled an invoice. After looking, they had sent 2 invoices for the same amount and same due date. If you use there services, make sure you watch you payments, seems like they need to learn how to get the payments straight. The 2 attendants we had were GREAT! Like I said, if I didn't have the issue with the invoices, I would have given them 5 stars. read more

This is the first time I have placed a Yelp review. But, I am hoping that my experience will help you. The photo strips that we received were strikingly poor in quality compared to the examples displayed on the BTTR booths website, bttrbooths.com. The curtain backdrop was not hung properly during the event, resulting in a visible black line that was evident in every picture (a huge, horizontal black line that extends from one side of the picture to the other, interrupting each photograph). In addition, the lighting quality was poor resulting in different background shades in every photo strip (some pictures were bright, some dark), resulting in either a dark grey, light grey, or an off-white color for the picture background instead of the "silver" background we had chosen from the website's custom backdrop color options. The photo strips, lighting, custom color backdrop depicted on BTTR booths website are VERY misleading. We kindly requested a refund due to an inadequate product/service. Over two weeks after the event had taken place, BTTR emailed us "a link to corrected photos". The party is long over, the guests already took home their photo strips from the event. A link to corrected photos is not the service/product we paid for or desired. We ordered a photo booth from BTTR with experienced technicians who were supposed to provide a photo service. On the day of the event, our guests were supposed to take home premium digital quality photo strips. This was not the case. I would not use this service again simply because of the poor customer service and poor quality of work. I will upload pictures of the photo strips from from the event. read more

I hired BTTR Booths for my wedding and thought they were responsive and professional leading up to the event. I paid extra for two add-on items, which are two of my three issues to point out to potential customers. Positive: Generally speaking, the technology is good, the package I chose did not have a physical booth, so larger groups could take photos, which I liked. It was also nice that there was a 15 second delay between shots, so people had time to change costumes or think of their next pose, which resulted in the pictures not all being the same as the last, again I liked. They also created a personalized photo strip, which was nice, but it was formatted with a design at the top as well as the bottom, and they failed to mention that the design at the top would be covered by the first photo, which looked sort of foolish. Negative (1): If you plan to hire them for an event like a wedding, I would plan to bring your own signage, as they did not bring any of their own. Since there was no booth, they hung a curtain as a back drop, which was necessary, but prevented people from seeing what was happening. I had numerous guests ask me what was going on behind the curtain, so I'm sure many more never asked, and didn't even know there was a photo booth at the event. Negative (2): I paid extra for a 15 second video option which allowed guests to make a video message to the bride and groom. Again, there was no signage about this, and the attendant was not mentioning it, so very few people knew it was even an option. After a 4 hour event, we came home with 4 video clips... Negative (3): I paid extra for a "premium hardcover scrapbook with 20 pages". The "premium hardcover scrapbook" was a three ring binder with self-adhesive pages in it. My problem with this is three fold: 1) this is not what I would consider a scrapbook...at all. 2) People were supposed to put an extra set of photos in the book and sign near their picture. Only a fraction of guests were instructed to do so, so the book only had a handful of photos by the end of the night. Additionally, people wrote on the self adhesive page, because that was the only option, which is a very difficult surface to write on. 3) The "premium" option was 20 pages instead of 10 with the standard option, however the book that was handed to be at the end of the night had exactly 10 pages in it, so I'm honestly not sure what I paid extra for. I have been to events where there was an actual scrapbook (a bound book with pages) and the attendant glued the photos onto a page and asked the people in the photo to sign next to it. Despite having entered into a contract with them more than 6 months in advance of a family Bar Mitzvah, despite confirming days before the event about the time they were to set up, and despite having paid in full - THEY DIDN'T SHOW UP! I emailed and called 2X that night to the phone number provided by BTTR Booths, in the event there was a problem - those calls went to voice mail. It took them more than 3 days to contact me to 'apologize about the mishap'. I have called them & written them to ask for their definition of mishap. Not surprisingly, no response. I just wanted to share my amazing experience with BTTR photo booths! I found the company online, reached out and got a great quote. I booked a little more than a month in advance and had clear communication with the staff. The event was for a sweet 16 last month in February. The day of I received a phone call from Linsday asking if we were still on due to the snow I told her yes and it wasn't a problem. They traveled from Massachusetts to Connecticut in the snow!(that's commitment) People were arriving late due to the weather. When I got there Linsday said she would stay an extra half hour. Not only was I pleased with how amazing and fun the photo booth experience was, I appreciate the outstanding service! The props, the quality of photos, just everything! That's why I gave them 5 stars! Working with someone like Linsday made the whole process easy. So if your looking for a company who is committed, efficient, and just over all awesome. If I could give them 10 stars I would. It is a shame people have come on here to give poor reviews due to their own mistakes. I called last year to book a booth for my wedding. I was always given exceptional customer service even when a tiny system error occured. The day of my wedding they were on time and the set up was beautiful. My wedding guests had an absolute blast and the guest book given at the end is one of my favorite keepsakes from the big day. Advice to current and future brides. Be smart with communication. These companies deal with so many people each and every day do not expect every vendor to treat you as if you are the first and only bride there ever was. There is no specification for this voucher stating this discount was aimed more toward corporate events Vs personal events (such as weddings). They have great prices, great services, and great customer service. They offer customizable strips, backgrounds, and give photostrips to each person in the picture unlike other companies who limit how many strips they print. HORRIBLE. I paid for 5 hours, but due to a "miscommunication with the technician" they only stayed for 4 hours. My little nieces really wanted a picture with me (the bride) but when we went to the photobooth, the tech had already closed shop. Imagine my surprise and the kids disappointment. Precious moments that we can not recreate :( The person that handled my contract refused to own up to her mistake, citing "miscommunication with the technician" and then only promised to reimbursed me for the missed hour but were unwilling to do anything else. Imo, that seems like a half-hearted apology. On top of that, the tech did not come an hour early like he was supposed to but only came a half hour early. Their excuse was he's a "veteran" and does not need to come an hour early to setup. They did not tell me this when we discussed start time, they told me the tech would be there an hour before my requested start time and that he would be most likely be done 30 min before my requested start time. Had I know that this was not the case, I would've requested an earlier start time so that he wasn't setting up in the middle of guests arriving...it just looks unprofessional. Also, if you do decide to go with their services, please make sure you clarify the shade/color before you pick the backdrop. Maybe this was my fault as I assumed the color I picked would be lighter (I want to say I did ask that but since we spoke over a month ago, I can not be sure I did). Basically, the main reason this place is getting only 1 star is because they do not seem to have their act together. They are unclear in their communication with the customer and even within their own team. I would never use them again and would not recommend them to anyone. I see now why they are cheaper than most other photobooth companies. I guess you get what you pay for...(except in my case, you get even less) **update: the owner has emailed me several times. He initially apologized for overcharging me for 4 hours of service and stated that's why he refunded me the difference. Then he changed his story to say the overcharge was for a scrapbook that is listed as free in the contract. He is also threatening to go to litigation for "false claims" on Yelp. (Is that why he changed his story?) Regardless, I have emails and receipts to prove what I said. They charged me 5 hours but only stayed for 4. He was aware (& admitted) that I inquired about updating from the initial 4 hour service to 5 hours. I was never told I needed to update any contract because he said I could even change it to 5 hours during the event! In another email, he also offered me a free hour at my next family event. Then he mentioned litigation again. I've ignored his emails. Also, I denied permission for model release on my contract. That means if he shows my pictures like he said he would, he is in violation of contract and invading my privacy. So much for following this contract... read more

I found this company on Groupon where they have a promotion for a rental of a photo booth for 3 hours. At the time I saw it, it was advertised at $299 (at one point it was advertised at $255) down from its "retail value" of $649. Before I bought it, I emailed the company to make sure they had my wedding date available, which they did. They sent me their wedding package and all the great things that come with it for $599, $50 cheaper than the "actual value" of the Groupon. I then inquired as to how to go about getting the deal (whether I had to actually buy the Groupon or if they would just give me the rate). I received this email in response: Our Groupon promotion is just our social media booth is a stand alone camera that takes photos on site with NO printouts, Backdrop or Props. The price I quoted you was for the Open Air Booth which I believe would be a better fir for a wedding. I emailed back confused because no where on the website did it ever mention any of this (not even in the FINE PRINT section) and the "retail value" of the Groupon was more than I had been quoted for the wedding package. I emailed back with that, to which they called my phone and we discussed about how the only way I found out about them was through Groupon and this is what they had advertised. She told me she would talk to her boss and see what she could do. A few days later I emailed about not hearing back about what the boss had to say. This was their response: Hi Jon, The best we can do would be $529.00. Let me know what you think. Thanks I followed up with: I cannot do that, like I said on the phone, the most I am willing to go was the $300 that I saw advertised on Groupon (which is how I found out about BTTR). And to be honest, I think it's completely misleading and terrible business to tell someone that they are receiving $650 worth of value when in reality it is no where near that. For a business to lie to its possible customers like that is unethical. The "wedding package" that you quoted me on was $600, the retail value of the Groupon is $650 dollars but it is only the "social media package" and comes with none of the things (other than a camera) that the "wedding package" does. No where on the Groupon website, not even in the fine print section, does it say anything about being a "social media package" and not come with any of the amenities you would expect for that value. This experience really reflects poorly on your company. I don't ever write reviews on Yelp and I always like to give companies the benefit of the doubt but this was/is terrible business practices. In addition to having poor customer service, BTTR is run by liars. Neither my friend nor I were told that the date in question was not available, despite repeated requests for that information. That is, until I complained and asked to speak with a manager. If it was not available than why did BTTR spend so much time trying to convince me to invest in 3 instead of 2 hours? There is nothing rude about me. Unfortunately, the respondee would rather insult me than receive and act upon honest constructive criticism. It is true, they are the cheapest vendor in the area. That is why we called them first. But there are others! It is counterintuitive to suggest, therefore, that I have nothing better to do than harass BTTR instead of moving down the list, particularly when our event was approaching quickly. Congratulations to them for showing the Yelp reading public their true stripes. Do they really believe that insulting potential clients and publishing those insults on the Internet is a viable business development strategy? The ironic thing is that someone else on their team did get back to us via email saying that the date was available, we booked BTTR, and the technician they sent out did a great job. I have not used this company and never will. I found them through Groupon and contacted them to find out if my wedding date was available for a photo booth rental. They then proceeded to tell me that the Groupon could not be used for a wedding. I wrote them an email expressing my concerns as to why the Groupon could not be used for a wedding, because it stated in their Groupon that it could be used toward a formal party. To me a wedding is a formal party. I also looked on their website to see what their wedding package includes and what the Groupon package includes, and although there were some slight differences (number of hours and color back drops), in general they were similar. The Groupon aslo says that it is a $540 value (before the discount) for 2 hours of service, yet their 4 hour wedding package (which I am told includes EVERYTHING) is only $525. Somthing doesn't add up with these prices. I received and email back from the vice president asking me to call him if I had concerns so he could answer them. So I called him and he proceeded to give me excuse after excuse as to why I couldn't use the Groupon package for my wedding, when the Groupon included exactly what I wanted for my wedding. He blamed everything on the way Groupon worded the offer and took no responsibility himself. I asked him why they did not correct this with Groupon, if they were unhappy with the way their coupon was being offered. He told me that he has had numerous people call and complain about the same thing and they are just NOW getting around to fixing it. Well its a little late for that. After our horrible comversation on the phone, the president on the company called me and his only concern was why I was speaking to his employee in the tone that I was, and I told him that I spoke to him in the same tone that his employee spoke to me. I am not an angry person, but when I feel you are trying to cheat and scam people then its a problem. I informed the president that I will never do business with them and hung up the phone. This morning I received an email from the president "answering," in a rude way, all of my questions. In his email he refers to weddings as "weddings are stressful and having to deal with brides sometimes can be a pain" (this is copy and pasted from his email). When i said "You really should specify on your Groupon page that this cannot be used for a wedding." His response was "We do not have to do anything. We have our marketing rep make the ad and it works just fine. Its to get people's attention.. My wedding packages, are the ONLY thing used for a wedding reception." This comany is new and is trying to get as much business as possible, and I don't blame them for that, but the way you treat people will be far more important to the success of your business. I had booked the photo booth services for the two hours of 8:30pm-10:30pm for a staff holiday party.I was told while booking that the photo booth technician would arrive at the event at 7:30 to begin to set up. The attendant did not get to the venue until 8:40 pm. Then of course had to set up. We were not able to use the photo booth until 9pm. The attendant did however have time to dress up with props before she had finished setting up which was disconcerting. I understand that things happen but her tardiness cut into a half hour of our photo booth time and I spent over an hour worrying that no one was going to show up instead of enjoying the party.When she was about 45 mins late (at 8:15pm) I called the company and was told that she would be there any min and it only would take her 5 mins to set up, which was not the case. I asked why I did not revive a phone call letting me know that she would be late and I was told that someone called and left a message on my office phone...at 8pm on a Friday. No surprise there why I did not receive the message. I would have hoped that someone would have tried to call the phone number listed on the contract for the venue. That way I would have been made aware of the situation without having to worry that no one was showing up, leave the party, go into the hallway, look through my email for the contact phone number and then be dismissed on the phone like I was worrying for no reason. I had a very scheduled itinerary for the event and since the photo booth was a half hour late it dulled down the momentum and a lot of the staff ended up leaving the party early. I also wanted to mention that the props that were used were dirty, disheveled and worn-out. The hats were bent inside out, the wigs were falling apart, the hand held props that were laminated were coming apart and the masks had make-up/ brownish black dirt on the inside. I'm happy to say that BTTR booths did a phenomenal job. My daughter (9 years old) had a fabulous time with her cousins in the booth at her birthday party. The tech was extremely professional. He had awesome props that the children and even adults weren't expecting to see. I personally have attended events were other booths were ok, tech so so, and not many props. However, BTTR Booths exceeded my expectations. I love the picture quality, time management, and professionalism. I will definitely recommend them to anyone! read more

Unfortunately, they ran into a little car trouble HOWEVER, they communicated this to me IMMEDIATELY and got there ASAP and were up and running in 5 minutes!! Everyone at the party (ESPECIALLY THE GUEST OF HONOR) cannot stop talking about HOW MUCH FUN THEY HAD with BTTR Booths! The staff are friendly and accommodating and I had a positive experience with them from the very beginning to the very end! It's unfortunate that this company, BTTR Booths, falsely advertises on Groupon. The promise is for a "4-hour Photo-Booth"--not selfie station-- for $419. It reads, "PHOTO BOOTH creates high-resolution memories for guests to keep as they choose from props and pose before the big screen." It also promises "For each option, the photos can be instantly uploaded to Instagram, Dropbox, and Facebook. Customers will also receive a digital copy of all photos." The manager blamed Groupon saying that they told BTTR to advertise it that way. The owner said that he wrote the ad himself, and it does not advertise for a photo-booth, but rather a "selfie station." Very sad that this company continues to falsely advertise and get away with it. read more
