At the end of the walk along the Isar when we got to Wolfratshausen we saw this place and decided to stop for some late lunch. They have a nice outdoor area with a handful of tables overlooking the Loisach.
The menu is typical Bavarian and they have some burgers thrown in for good measure. It's the latest trend in many places across Munich, adding burgers to a traditional menu. That alone made me think twice about eating here but we decided to stay. The staff were very friendly and welcoming but slow to take orders, specially when you are thirsty from a long walk ;-))
I had the Almschnitzel for main which came with fried potatoes. The Schnitzel was filled with cheese, speck and onions. It tasted ok and lacked the flavour I would expect in a schnitzel normally. The fried potatoes were also lacking a bit of flavour. I had the Paulaner Kellerbier a new introduction from this brewery and that was really nice :-)
All in all an ok experience. I would prefer to walk to other places if we came into town again. It's an ok experience for a reasonable price. read more
