This particular Gashof is quite a large site with patio seating, an indoor restaurant, and then a fairly large biergarten with a play area for kids! This was where we did the rehearsal dinner for my little brother's wedding, and it was a great pick. As it was a remarkably warm and sunny day, the inside portion of the restaurant was closed, as was the patio (both which are super attractive to the eye) however, the biergarten was bustling with what felt like a majority of the town! There are a lot of really large trees that canopy the biergarten which keep it shady and cooler. The tables are smaller but can easily be pushed together which we did for our larger party. Chairs are a bit flimsy. The food is typical German cuisine. I found the gravy for my roladen was fairly salty, but the roladen itself was one of the best I ever remember having! (no offense mom!) We received mixed up salad which was fairly decent. There was something in there I wasn't sure what it is, but it wasn't good so I left that for my wife! I don't remember if she even ate that. Service was quick for our meals though there was a lot of confusion as to who ordered what but could be our fault since our large families spread out to different tables which I'm sure made this a bit of a nighmare to also breakout the bill. No matter if summer or winter, any time you won't go wrong checking out this gorgeous place. In summer you can enjoy an ice cafe or a cool beer in the beer garden under old chestnut trees, in the colder months you'll notice how comfortable and cute these old rooms are when warmed up, when you come into the "Stube" - the state parlour. We were walking and we ended up resting here for a bit before our final leg to Schäftlarn. The place is reasonably big with a gorgeous outdoor Biergarten. You can get a nice view of the Isar from here. The staff are very friendly and helpful. We did not eat here so I cannot really rate the food. Most people were however eating and I overheard some comments from people who live in the area that the the food was good here. I would happily stop here again and perhaps have a meal next time. It's not a place you normally go to as it is further out from the city and, unless you have a car or you happen to be cycling / walking along the Isar you are not likely to get here.

Mr & I asked if they would be able to take the dumpling, potato & egg dish and pair it with a mushroom cream sauce from another dish on their menu & they happily said no problem. It was incredible! The dumpling pieces were chewy on the inside and a bit crispy on the outside & soaked up the mushroom sauce very well. Paired with the Dunkles beer which was dark, smooth & nutty!
