It's…read moreone for beers geeks looking for craft beers on tap and keen to keep away from the Tuborg and Carlsberg that dominate touristy bars. It really is worth the trip, not far from the nearest metro stop it best described as a grainy hipster bar where 99% of the clientele are locals. There are retro pictures on the walls and bicycles hanging from the roof. Apart from that it is pretty basic with no fancy edges, just a chalkboard with 10-ish craft beers from across the globe on tap. I had an amazing IPA from New Zealand which is one of the best beers I have had on this trip to Copenhagen. Definitely worth a look if you like new beers and want to get of the beaten track. (Sadly no wi-fi though)

I was dragged here after a hearty meal at the Ethiopian restaurant on the same street further down Nørrebrogade and this place is just perfect. I like that there are more and more craftbeer bar in Copenhagen that gives no excuse to drink a bad beer. They have their beer list on the blackboard by the bar and you could get a taste of what you will order, and since it's called Ølsnedkeren, they make their own bottled beer as well. Too bad I had to hurry home because I was drinking on a Wednesday, but I would definitely come back to this place again.

And the tastings are plentiful so don't be shy when you see something, say something and chances are good you may be able to experience it before you purchase. Their selection surprised me; they have everything from sake to cachaça and even moonshine. Most of what they offer is whiskey and it ranges from affordable to the REALLY good and old stuff that you only break out if you need to impress an important person. There are lots of tastings offered at a good price, too bad I can't make it to the mezcal tasting coming up! The guys working here were really nice and even ran down to the basement for me several times to check if a product was in stock. They also didn't look down at us for asking for a cheaper option and suggested some good bottles. Very good, unpretentious service and a great selection. You can even get a little tiny hotel-fridge-sized bottle for some spirits, which is excellent if you've never tried it before and would like to test it before splurging on a whole bottle. The prices can obviously be a little high but for the most part it is reasonable compared to buying duty free. You might be able to get a popular brand cheaper at the supermarket when it's on sale but for the more interesting stuff, definitely come by Juul's.
