I have had the pleasure of being a patient of Dr. Schwartz's for a few years. The time I have spent…read morewith her is invaluable to me. Dr. Schwartz is a very warm, caring, insightful person, who has helped me overcome a lot of my personal issues. This has greatly improved my happiness, and quality of life! She has the ability to get right to the heart of an issue, but does so in a kind, gentle way. Dr.Schwartz was able to make me feel safe, and comfortable enough to deal with some deeply personal issues. Sometimes we laugh, sometimes I cry, but I always leave her office feeling so much better than when I came in. Your visits can be tailored to your specific needs. You can go weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly. If you have completed your therapy, you can come in for a "tune up" if you need it. I, myself, had gone through a period of therapy, had stopped going, and then found myself back a year or so later, to deal with some things that had come up in my life. I highly recommend Dr. Schwartz if you are looking for someone who can help you deal with life's difficulties, with warmth, caring and humor. If you feel you are ready to work with someone to deal with your own personal issues, I think you should call Dr Schwartz, and make an appointment. I am so glad I chose to come to her, and will always be thankful to her for helping me to lead a much happier life!

I randomly found her online and I truly lucked out by getting the best of the best the first try. She is so smart, compassionate, caring and helpful. I cannot say enough good things about her amazing, natural ability to help people. When I met with her, she never minimized my problems. She really had an ability to remember things I had told her in the past and that really showed her passion for her job and helping people, rather than me just being another patient. She is an amazing therapist and has helped me more than she'll ever know.

When I hit a low and missed an appointment, I was never contacted by phone or email, simply sent a $90 missed appointment fee. Some therapists subscribe to the bootstraps philosophy of "just be more positive!" when it comes to treating mental illness, and I don't know how they get away with it. Worse, though, is the total lack of empathy evident in NEVER contacting a patient with a diagnosed social anxiety disorder and depression when they miss an appointment to see if they're okay - except to ask them for money.

One counselor named Blair Ambrose was very quick to get me out the door when a session ended, I know you can't drag sessions on, understandable. But if you have a career centered on helping people, you figure you want to make sure people are ok. She also was going to charge me for a late fee for something that was abrupt and out of my control and I gave her nearly a 2 hour heads up that I might not make it. Most horrible experience with marriage counseling in oct 2015. Although such counseling is never…read moregood and pleasant I will convey actual events surrounding it here and you can be the judge about somers itself. Wife booked sessions with Laura Craig.I willingly went. After about three sessions I was booked for a 4th on my own and showed up 10 min late due to traffic. I met the receptionist in the lobby and she looked in the book and Said I did bot have an appointment.stunned I called her cell phone. No answer. I contemplated just going in upstairs into her office, but instead took a photo of the unattended schedule book at front desk to show there was no apt for me. To this day I regret not going up. That night wife calls up furious that I missed apt. I told her it was messed up. Next week apt I show the doctor picture of schedule book. She begins to panic and spends 15 minutes investigating. Then she comes back and shows me another apt book with my name saying the receptionist had the wrong book and and I needed to erase those pictures right away. That was her major concern. That said next session my wife and her were pushing me to take anxiety medication. I dug in saying that every spouse wants their other half to change after 10 years. It turns out that my spouse was highly successful while taking meds. I did not know this until counseling. So I said "taking pills is not an option for me at this point. You have been listening to us for weeks and what I want from you is a list of 4 exercises or items we can do at the end if this session" She replied " I would not want to do that because if it did not work you would blame me" lady! Our marriage is on life support, there is nothing you can do to hurt it. So we agree to get me a male counselor that she she refers. Two weeks go by and no answer...turns out that the referred Dr did not even have the comnon courtesy to reply back saying they were not taking new patients. Finally she refers me to Dr somers who owns the practice. I go to the booking and they ask if I am a new patient. I say no I am seeing Laura Craig one of their people..,they say that does not matter you're a new patient and have to wait 2 months for an initial consultation! Guess what???? End of my beloved wife's patience. You be the judge.

One of my greatest challenges was managing chronic pain. She validated the daily struggles I faced and empowered me with the confidence to explore strategies and treatments that could improve my quality of life. I especially appreciate Geri's patience, empathy, and commitment to her patients.

That mindset didn't last long once I started working with Wendy at Mending Minds. Wendy has a way of meeting you exactly where you're at, no pressure, no judgment, just real, genuine support. She helped me break through a lot of that initial resistance and actually lean into the process. The space she creates feels safe, grounded, and honest, which made it easier to open up in ways I hadn't before. What stands out most is how real she is. Not robotic, not textbook, just human. She listens, challenges when needed, and helps you connect the dots without ever making you feel less than. If you're on the fence about therapy, especially if you're someone who's used to being the helper, I can't recommend Wendy enough. She changed the game for me.
