Started noticing that every time we had something done (even an oil change) there ended up being something else (usually expensive) needed shortly there after. Ask for an evaluation for an issue, charged for evaluation and issue worsens? Final straw, after an oil change, oil leaking and causing major repairs ($1000+) needed to be done. And then issue not even resolved? Bad gasket? I think not. Bad practices? I think so. Don't be tempted by the coupons. Not to be trusted. We have learned our lesson. It was expensive. And hassle-filled.

Months prior to this move, my rare and much treasured 2007 Jaguar XKR developed a recurring and puzzling problem. I had taken it to Jaguar dealerships and my local mechanic several times. Each shop replaced random parts, charged lots of money, but never got to the root of the problem. On the advice of new friends and neighbors, I contacted Taylor's Auto Service. I did have serious concerns using an unfamiliar and unspecialized facility. I called, described the symptoms I had experienced and scheduled an appointment a few days later to drop off the car. On the first visit, the car behaved normally in the shop without issue so they returned it without charge. The problem occurred again soon after, requiring a 2nd visit with a more detailed system inspection. This has been the general pattern for this very random and rare recurring problem. With a better appreciation of the situation, Taylor's specialized electrical staff quickly found the TRUE problem, ordered and installed the part, and my pet was finally back home and running properly. While reloading my personal gear the next day, I accidentally triggered the car's anti-theft system. The car froze and I was unable to release it. I called Taylor's, asked for help, and the Shop Chief came to my residence. He quickly reset the system and gave me his expert advice to prevent this from happening again. There was no charge for the rescue. I have never experienced service like this anywhere. Needless to say, Taylor's will be my family's one and only service contact from now on.

This was a few months ago, but No kidding on Tuesday morning a couple hours after they opened I got the call saying the repair was complete and I could come pick it up anytime. This job required extensive engine valley work, and I looked up the parts they didn't overmark anything they did an awesome job and so quick but great! I later discovered that they couldn't complete the job due to a lack of manpower. They didn't even offer a loaner vehicle during this time. My stance is that they should have informed their customer so I can make a decision to stay or go elsewhere. To make matters worse, the representative dared to say that when I brought the car back, they would give me a $50 credit. Really? If they were sincere about their excuses and the long duration they kept my car, that credit should have been applied when I picked it up after three weeks. Eventually, someone was honest enough to tell me the truth. I finally picked up my Maserati and parked it in my garage until returning from a trip, only to discover that my left center wheel cap was missing. When I called them, the representative said it probably fell off and that he had video evidence showing the cap was there when I brought it into their shop.
