I was on the hunt for a new dental home after my longtime dentist retired, and I'm SO glad I found…read moreSalinas Valley Dental Care! From the moment I walked in, I felt like I was in good hands. I'll be honest--walking into a new dental office made me a little nervous, but Darci (the assistant) was so warm and welcoming. She gave me a quick little tour and totally helped ease my nerves. It honestly felt like visiting a friend's office! Dr. Goldman was amazing--super knowledgeable and took the time to go over everything with me. She even complimented the onlays and veneers I had done previously, which made me feel like she really noticed the details. AJ, my hygienist, was also fantastic. He was so professional and made me feel completely at ease while taking my oral records. He asked thoughtful questions about my dental habits and even gave me a few helpful flossing tips I hadn't heard before. Plus, the office is beautiful and fully equipped with modern technology and little touches that remind me of my old dentist's place (which I loved). It's also super convenient with my work schedule--huge bonus! If you're looking for a dental office that's professional and personal, I highly recommend Salinas Valley Dental Care. They're officially my new favorite place for that fresh, clean teeth feeling.

I am so sad I have to change my review. I had some work done recently that continues to cause me…read moreproblems. I had zero discomfort or pain before I had to work done. I've had to go back in twice since having the work done to be checked out. The first time they corrected my bite and the dentist re- drilled to correct it. The whole time he was drilling the shavings were going to the back of my throat, and I was choking he said oh it's just teeth dust lol Also, most of the reception women are very friendly, but every time I speak to Natalie she is so rude and seems like she hates her job. Once I get this problem corrected, I will not be returning to Salinas valley Dental care, sadly. I feel like the staff is overwhelmed because they're taking them more patients than they can handle. Also, the office seems to be following apart their exam rooms have paint peeling off the walls and stained ceiling tiles.

I've had several appointments with him, and every single time he takes the time to answer all of my questions in a kind, friendly, and personable way. He never makes me feel rushed and always addresses my concerns thoroughly. I've learned so much from him, which really helps me feel more confident and informed about my care. The office is clean, the staff is welcoming, and appointments are always on time, which I truly appreciate. Like most people, I don't look forward to dental visits, but Dr. Kwok genuinely makes the experience as best as it possibly can be. Even when I've received difficult news, he delivers it with professionalism and compassion, and I always leave feeling reassured and in good hands. I had a root canal done, and it was quick, smooth, and involved minimal pain before, during, and after the procedure. That alone speaks volumes about his skill and care. Knowing he graduated from Harvard is also very impressive and gives an added level of confidence. I also want to recognize Dr. Appelin who took time out of his schedule to speak with me over the phone and answer my questions, when Dr. Kwok was on vacation, which is not something you hear of often. I met Dr. Wassmer today who consulted with me about an upcoming procedure I will need to get done. He was knowledgeable, friendly, and made me feel completely at ease. He was confident and positive, and I never felt rushed. Overall, I truly love this entire team. The doctors and staff go above and beyond, and I feel very lucky to have such a wonderful clinic nearby. Even if I had to travel hours, I would still choose this office. Thank you all so much--keep up the amazing work!

I'm a nurse and I know time is sensitive with provider and patient, so I was very aware of going in and keeping it basic, but in this case I was quite frankly ignored. I'm not going to say much more, because I think you'll get the idea. I couldn't get an appt for a root canal until almost mid January, I saw him on 12/07ish, although they took my $200 dollar consultation fee Pain was not discussed at all and that's when I knew I was def not going to be taken care of completely. Pain is a number one assessment question. He wore his mask the whole time, which was warranted, but it made it more difficult to interact with his language barrier. I ended up driving to Morgan Hill for same day root canal, thank God. I ended up paying another $150 consult fee Take care of your teeth is the message here and if the provider Diana less than 1. 5 minutes with you, get out. Do not come here! To start off, when you first walk in you are immediately greeted by dog stench…read moreand then you notice, yup there's a dog in the office. Listen I'm a lover of dogs but there's a time and a place and unless that dog is a service dog it has no place in a dental office. Completely unhygienic and invalidating of people who actually depend on service dogs. And just because he's wearing a scarf that says service it doesn't make it legit. Secondly there is just a general lack of professionalism. The receptionist/assistant ladies were very nice and welcoming, but that's it. Dont make the mistake of booking a noon appointment , Once they get you in that crowded room everyone is squeezing through cracks, they move you from chair to chair to make room for their millions of patients they can't attend to at once and they very loudly talk about how they're rushing because it's almost lunch time and they're about to leave without the Dr. After waiting for more than an hour for the Dr to be available he finally got to me, chewing his lunch in my face. He was rushed, distracted, barely looked at my X-rays, lacked attention to detail, and I genuinely felt that he cares more about making money than about the patients health and well being. He was suggesting exaggerated procedures which would technically solve the problem but it wasn't the most efficient. I would hear prices before hearing actual solutions. It is saddening that a place like this that primarily serves people from the Hispanic community who sometimes don't speak english, are low income, lack the tools and knowledge and access to better take care of their teeth, finally build the courage to go to the dentist only to get scammed by Dr. Mireles. And yes if you're thinking "hmm where do I know that name from?" Yes he's from that old ass commercial. When I told my parents who the Dr was they said " oh no why would you go to that guy. He's the the worst and oldest scammer in salinas" So learn from my mistakes, if you're gonna end up paying a million dollars anyway, might as well pay them somewhere where you'll be better and CLEANER service. DISGUSTING!!!!!
