However after the…read moreinteraction the office manager Allison had with my wife today 9/11/24 between 5 and 5:15 PM, I've decided to consult an attorney to protect my bases and let the record be straight. My wife called about a confirmed delivered package at minimum 6 times in 45 minute intervals. Nothing. Finally after the 7th time Allison picks up. After asking about it again, Allison says "It's strange because it was delivered to our office building with Whats in it? Because i find it odd it was delivered to our office and not you." Ummm are you kidding me? Why is that your business? Not to mention it has a logo from Target on the box and shipping label. Either way my wife says it's bathroom supplies and Allison finally "gives her permission" to get her purchases. My wife arrives and sees another man waiting and Allison on the Lan line and cell phone. She ends the conversation on the phone and before my wife says anything, points her finger at my wife and says "you need to wait your turn, he was here first" SERIOUSLY!?!! Why would those words ever come out of her mouth??? Allison is supposed to be our support, not authoritarian! Not to mention because this man is on his speakerphone, she can hear he is also there to receive his package. After my wife goes to grab her own package which was clearly labeled, simply to end this charade of authority, Allison says smugly "I'll get it". Honestly my blood is boiling for obvious reasons. The fact that you have people like that working for the supposed "people" is an atrocity. But here's the living conditions as of 9/11/24. They talk amenities with Hawthorne. OK let's talk. Pool went from being heated Saltwater to broken down and abused. Literally. Our pool has been closed a ridiculous number of times this year. Whether it be improper levels, broken glass, maintenence??(isn't that improper levels again?) Not to mention there are literally family members and friends of residents pulling up to swim when it is open and running. I get a few guests, but families of 12??? They don't pay for that pool. We do! Service is a joke. Our building hasn't had 100% of our bulbs working for over a year. Over a half of the bulbs have been out for months on end. I requested a cheese drawer for my fridge 3 times on their app and twice over the phone and got back a used drawer 8 weeks later with mold on the screws! We have a coffee machine that's free though! Whenever they decide to clean it so it runs. Flies all over the syrup. Have at it! There's a gym you can use! Just make sure you bring your own soap and sanitizer because it's not cleaned daily by staff. Only by people who want to work out and not catch something. Even if you miss the gym, you can get your steps in walking. Theres no parking anywhere. Good luck coming home after 6pm. You pay for valet trash service which comes when it wants to. Then when you take your own trash out, your welcomed to other people's crap lying on the floor. No recycling either. Who cares about the environment??

Whenever I come home from grocery shopping or back from a walk, there's always somebody very friendly in the office and it's crazy that they know you by name with so many residents they make sure to take the time out and say hello to you and ask how your day is going! There's always something great going on at the Met.! There are community events on site and off to participate in at least 2 to 3 times a month. Whether it's a coffee truck or a wine and design painting on the promenade or a charcuterie and wine event on the perch . Very disappointing and misleading application process…read more I was initially approved for an apartment with a guarantor who exceeded all requirements, including over 6x the monthly rent in verified income and a 721 credit score. We were told the only issue was income documentation, which was corrected and notarized. Based on this, a security deposit was taken from my bank account with my permission, and we were given a move-in date and apartment number. After that, the application was suddenly denied due to an 8-year-old civil court matter in the guarantor's rental history, even though the guarantor is not the lessee. A second credit check was also run on the guarantor without permission. When I requested my deposit back, I was told I had to wait 30 days, despite the approval and move-in information provided being inaccurate. The process lacked transparency, requirements changed without notice, and the handling of deposits and credit checks is concerning. I strongly recommend getting everything in writing and being cautious before paying any fees.

The apartments are in great shape, updated, and spacious. Jim, the groundskeeper, keeps thing looking nice and will always help when asked. If you can put up with Leland rush hour traffic, these are a great, less expensive alternative to living in Wilmington. The pet fees are also better than most apartments. The only issue is the office staff. The letters they send out to residents are terrible, or laughable, when you see the amount of spelling errors. Keep on top of your charges because they do not follow through well. Our main issues with the office happened when we tried to move out but I'm sure that happens at most places since they know their revenue is leaving. Many of the financial problems were fixed once we bugged them enough.

The second bedroom had water pouring down from window casing. My mother continued to complain. The maintenance man caulked around window but water continued to pour in every time it rained. She had to put towels around the ledge and on carpet below. Management did nothing and did not seem to care. When she recently moved out, we discovered black mold behind her bed. Property Manager tried to blame my mother because she had not reported mold behind her heavy bed. They did not fix crack, mold in the corner of her room or the water that was pouring down in second bedroom. Shame on them. Management takes no accountability whatsoever. Amanda was responsive, professional, and helpful. She took the time to explain the property's position and stated that carpet replacement is generally the apartment community's preference, rather than attempting cleaning. She also informed me that she would serve as my point of contact moving forward. I do appreciate Amanda's responsiveness and her willingness to communicate clearly. My thoughts about my time living at Westport remain an honest account of my personal experience.

They take pride in keeping the property clean and updated. I understand the other review because when I moved in three years ago it was under a different management company. They had one property manager that worked part time. They expected them to work at Leland Station and Waterleigh. There was hardly anyone there at all. Rest assured they have done a complete 360 since then! This management company isn't going anywhere either, unlike the one before where they just planned to sale it off. Maintenance requests are taken care of immediately and the apartments are in excellent condition. The apartments are more like townhomes and are honestly the best value for the area, as all apartments have a garage that can be used for storage. The closets are HUGE and also the bathrooms. The price point is the same for apartments without a garage. This is the best value for your money and an ideal location for being in between relocating and looking for a home to buy. It's conveniently located next to a lot of shopping and Harris teeter is literally right next door. I often walked to shop despite having a car just to get some exercise. It was also great for my toddler to have a place to ride his power wheels since there's a trail around the property. I cannot recommend Leland Station enough. They were wonderful in the end!

The apts with 9 foot ceilings, huge closets, a kitchen complete with stainless steel and granite everywhere! Outside, there's a lovely pool, dog park and the beautiful club house where Harrington had a huge holiday party for all the resisdents recently. Too many amenities to list honestly! Wonderfully enough, the best part of Harrington lies in the amazing staff. Ms. Karissa the Manager, Rachael and Ashley treat me with such kindness and care and it's greatly appreciated. Each time I've seen Ms. Denise she's taken time to ask how I am and help with anything needed. It's the genuine kindness I appreciate the most! These are just hardworking people! The maintance crew will handle my requests same day (usually) and a couple of times- they fixed issues within an hour. Yes, truthfully! LOL. I'm a retired military Combat Nurse, so I've rented places all over the world and truthfully the care and professionalism here at Harrington is best I've had. That's why I just renewed my lease! This was know help,because there were apts. that was not being sprayed. So the roaches continued. Also trash at compactors totally out of control on weekends. People just threw there trash out at compactors instead of placing trash in compactors. We had taken pictures to the office. As requested. Our apt. continually smelled of weed from other sources. Office know help in that situation either. Police on premises all the time. Make long story short,spoke with corporate office. She was hateful and didn't even know what she was talking about. We broke our lease,paid large fee to get away from a situation where nothing will be resolved.
