The salad with egg and Rapeseed was perfect. The Zuri Gschnatzlets was very original and exactly as expected. When we arrived about 20 minutes early there was no problem. Our table was reserved overlooking the lake. Perfect. We ordered the Wiener Schnitzel served with a warm potato salad and white Asparagus served with Hollandaise sauce. First a complimentary appetizer with lox and cream cheese served with a bit of cous cous spreads. The bread was homemade and out of this world delicious. It appeared with two different spreads. The pinck spread was a roasted red pepper and cream cheese with crumbled pink peppercorns. I couldn't figure out the green one but it was equally delicious. ...divine. Then the main courses were served. The Wiener Schnitzel was huge. It was as thin as could be imagined, perfectly tender and seasoned well. The warm potato salad was great but decided quickly that it was filler and we had a plate full of perfect veal and wonderful asparagus to eat! There was so much food. No room for dessert. So sad. Highly recommend. Can't wait to return. Make a reservation in advance. Service is tops. You will not be rushed. Class act.

So ideally located and with a magnificent view of the lake. I think, the Chez Fritz has the same owner than the Seerose, but I think at the Chez Fritz it's more sophisticated place and not as show-offy as the Seerose. It has a fine, but still cosy ambience inside. And a large terrace with a outside bar. During the summer, you can hang out it the lounge area and watch people and enjoy the drinks. The food is excellent: the food is fresh, Mediterranean, modern and yummy-ly prepared. The chef has officially 15 points in the Guide Michelin (according to the official website from Chez Fritz). Wine comes mainly from Europe, with focus on France and Italy.

Unfortunately great things is not what I got. Instead I got very overpriced, below average food. I ordered the veal cutlet which was 42 CHF which is $47 and 3/4ths of the plate was essentially fried potatoes. You might think I'm exaggerating, but I implore you to check the picture. In the US any $47 meat dish would be 3/4th meat, 1/4th potato. Yes I understand it's some kind of traditional Swiss Rösti, but it tastes like fried potatoes. In fact I could only eat a little bit of it because it started to bother my stomach. The veal cutlet itself was decent. It could've been more tender and the flavor was decent. Nothing special and certainly not worth 47 CHF. I will give credit where credit is due though. The two cherry tomatoes included with the dish were quite exceptional. They were literally bursting with flavor and very fresh. I could've eaten ten more. This was unfortunately the exception. The chocolate lava cake was quite good. Perhaps the best chocolate lava cake I've had so far in my 4 month stint in Europe. It was very chocolatey and the middle had that chocolate oomph you'd expect from a top chocolate producer like Switzerland. Overall I wouldn't recommend coming here unless you enjoy getting fleeced. Price is usually not such a sticking point for me, but I was just so shocked by the $47 plate that was mostly potatoes. Save your tastebuds and your wallet and look else where.

I chose the vegetarian option and the 3 courses were very flavorful and I was able to taste the food even more so in the dark. I felt like the dark made my sensory of my palate enhanced.
