Came here with the family for a bite to eat and we were not disappointed. Maybe would've loved some high chairs for the young'ins but they're still a butchery that serves some food. But for "some food", we will definitely be coming back for more. We had the classic Italians and the Brunk's Burger and absolutely loved what we had ordered. I finally made it in to Brunk's and I'm kicking myself for not checking it out sooner! Now that I've been I'll certainly be a regular. As a local resident, I've been looking for a place like this for some time. Until Brunk's opened I felt like I had to drive to Orange County or up to Claremont to get high quality cuts of beef; especially dry aged. Today I selected the dry aged prime bone-in ribeye and I am more than impressed with the quality, taste, and value. One should expect a little sticker shock if they are not accustomed to higher quality and/or dry aged cuts, but, I assure you, Brunk's offers a fair price for an exceptional product. I truly can't wait to go back and try many more of their offerings, especially some of the charcuterie! read more

I went in last week, Thursday (7-27) to ask about getting some pork belly; the guy there took my name and number down, said it'd be in Saturday afternoon, and told me it'd be $10.99/lb. My girlfriend picked it up for me Saturday afternoon, and I didn't learn until that evening they charged her $80+ for a little over 6 lbs; closer to $13/lb. The receipt shows no other fees, so either they lied to me about the cost per pound, or tacked on other fees they weren't up front about; either way, I won't be back. The pork itself was fine, with skin conveniently removed. But the price issues sour everything. read more

A little disappointed. Waited for this place to open and haven't had a chance to stop by since it has opened. Love the idea of a butcher shop with all natural, steroid free, hormone free meat. The place was empty when we arrived and the decor was nice. Pretty small menu and selection of meats. It does say soft opening menu. The service was good and everyone working there was nice. The brisket sandwich was great and my wife loved he pastrami sandwich, but they both only come with a pickle on the side. Maybe potato chips or potato salad would have been nice. Dropped over $40 for two sandwiches and two canned sodas. What downgraded it for me was both tables next to us were a little dirty, one had a plate and dirty napkin the other had some pieces of food and napkins left. They did pick up the napkins but never cleaned up the rest to whole time we were there. We were going to have a date night at a nice steakhouse but because it was such a last minute decision, we couldn't get a reservation. That's how we ended up here and so glad we did. You get what you pay for! We've so been looking forward to Brunk's finally opening in Chino Hills. We've been following them on social media for so long and know it's been a struggle for them to achieve this goal. After many months, they were able to have their soft opening and we made sure to stop by. We walked into a very clean and organized store and were greeted by grateful, smiling employees. Nicole was able to help us and was so very helpful. She even gave us a few of the house seasoned steak tips for free to try and we will definitely be back to get those soon. Yes the steaks were expensive compared to other local grocery stores BUT they were high end restaurant quality. You're also supporting a family ran business as well as supporting high quality farms instead of processed farms where the animals are injected with hormones (gross!). We seasoned and grilled the steaks ourselves and were so satisfied with the quality and flavor of these steaks. They were marbled perfectly, soft, not chewy, and tender. We are used to buying steaks at Costco and are so thankful to have an even better option on meat quality here in chino hills. Thank you Brunks! Their customer service is excellent. I placed an order over the phone for a turkey and they were very kind and helpful. When I went to pick up the turkey today, all employees were attentive and if they walked past me as I waited, each one made sure I was already being helped. Nicole explained some good information about their meats and showed me some of their most favorited ones. So, today I left with a turkey that I have yet to leave a review on, some homemade cranberry sauce that I am sure is heaven and a package of fresh bacon cheddar jalapeño bratwurst. I was looking for specialty item that most grocery stores don't carry. The owner, Nicole, was so nice and helpful and made a special order to get the product I wanted in stock. Stopped by on way home after work, to a super clean very friendly atmosphere, I got a selection of cheese, crackers and meats, also decided to compare American wagyu to the Japanese A5, everything was fantastic! The chiriboga blue cheese was so smooth, the lamb chopper is completely addictive! The American wagyu was delicious as was the melt in your mouth A5 I will say the A5 was extremely rich so alittle per person goes a long way. When we got there, the ladies (I think Nicole, the owner was one of them) were so nice because it was 2 minutes until closing time and were counting the register, but they still let us in and were very friendly. It was my wife's birthday and she wanted a ribeye, she asked and the lady was very nice. The selection and quality of their meat was second to none, where I doubt no other place has the quality of meats. They were so wonderful and they even hooked us up with a nice marinated package of black angus beef, which was delicious!
