After a few years of silence, I felt it was time to get my Grandfather clock up, running and chiming again. You have to call ahead of time to drop clock off. Facilty is not staffed. Did not use their services, went to another clock shop.

Mr. Brumley is truly a professional. He repaired an old grandfather clock I had gotten from my parents that had quit chiming. He meticulously identified the problem, ordered the needed piece, and replaced it. When a problem developed afterwards, he was quick to identify the problem and retooled the mechanism he had replaced since it wasn't exactly the same. He was timely with his work and apprised me of his approximate arrival time each time he came to our house. There are not many craftsmen like him. read more

Took my Great Grandfather's wall clock to get fixed Mr. Brumley told me what was wrong how much it was going to cost to get fixed and when it would be ready. It was fixed when he told me it would be and the cost was exactly what I was told. Took it home and it works great. Ok so I went to Brumley's yesterday....and as it turns out, my clock wasn't even broken. However, before this embarrassing fact got out, I was pretty much appalled at the miserable crabby old man act that the owner had going on. I don't appreciate being treated like an idiot....although maybe he could tell I was an idiot if I brought a working clock to a clock shop to get fixed. I brought my clock to this clip joint, had it 'repaired' and only learned that it had not been fixed after returning home. The owner refused to believe that it was not working correctly, and insisted that he keep it in his shop for a week to make sure. After confirming it did not work, he took another *two months* to fix it--and charged me AGAIN. All told, I was soaked for over two hundred dollars-- more than the clock was even worth on its best day. To his credit, Lee offered to keep the clock and only charge me the first hundred dollars. Incredible. I would have wound up paying the guy $100 to walk away with my clock. I feel creeped-out just driving by the place. read more

I brought two wall clocks for repair to Brumley's. One was hand-crafted by my father and was very dear to me. The other I had ordered on-line for it's quirky motif and it had never functioned satisfactorily. Both were returned not only working again, but Mr. Brumley ordered new hands that made the clock look better than ever. And he carried the clocks out to my car because they were both rather large and unwieldy. I would definitely use his services again. read more

Mr, Brumley recently repaired my 19th century mantle clock to perfect working order after it's last service was almost 50 years previous and it had not run in 5 years. He is easy to get along with if you don't waste his time... which is incalculably valuable if you want your clock repaired! In reply to one of the previous reviews, did Mr. Brumley charge you for looking at your clock and letting you know that there was nothing wrong with it? He could have told you it would cost 300 dollars to fix and you would have been none the wiser... think about that. read more

Brought Mr. Brumley a '40s electric clock that had stopped running. I'd already taken it to a couple of clock repair shops, and he was the only one who would even look at it. Turns out he'd already worked on the model before--showed me the innards of an old one he had on hand! He had it up, running, and chiming in less than a week. Highly recommended! read more
