This is usually a quiet, local park - ideal for children to play o the swings and other play equipment and for dog owners to let their dogs enjoy open spaces.
Unfortunately, as often happens these days, this is often spoiled by the groups of mid-teens who hang around the play areas smoking and drinking - often intimidating anyone who passes.
This is another local park which has benefitted by the council's "tidying up" policies. In recent years, it has been planted with lots of trees and shrubs as well as plenty of flowers. So far, these have, mostly, survived the games of football played over them - notwithstanding the designated football areas with goalposts.
Those with very young children should also be aware that there is a brook running right through the park. read more
