Recently, my family held a reception here for about 60 people. The space is a great place to host a gathering. The food was great, we had soups, sandwiches and desserts. I would have liked to have given this a 4 star review, however they were severely understaffed which meant one side of the room was one course ahead of the other side of the room. Considering this was prebooked, with extra staff requested when booking, it meant that the hosts weren't able to relax and chat as they should of, as they spent the majority of the time helping the poor girls who were rushed off their feet trying to serve 60 people as fast as they could. As first impressions go, it could have been better. Given the circumstances, having all the friends and family come together from near and far, I would have liked to see the hosts be able to relax and enjoy themselves more. read more

This is a great place to visit if you want to improve your driving or fancy lunch. I've only eaten here and the food is very good, simple and home cooked. There is a soup of the day and then pub food really. Steaks, pasta, pies etc. The restaurant is licensed. Cheap prices and very good service. Dinner also served. read more
