Went in yesterday for a tattoo. The gentleman that did mine, older and wore glasses, wasn't the greatest. Let me start with this was my 6th tattoo so I am no stranger to this. To start, while in the middle of drawing and discussing the tattoo, he pushed it off on someone else because he needed a cigarette. Bad vibes began then and I didn't really want him to do my tattoo. He wasn't personable either. My tattoo started and I immediately knew I wasn't going to like it. His line work is horrible. He made my tattoo so incredibly dark with almost no shading. My leg is still throbbing and bleeding. Never have I ever experienced pain and blood like this with a tattoo before. He didn't even wrap my tattoo after finishing it before leaving. Again, never have I ever, gotten a tattoo and left an establishment without having my tattoo wrapped. I am going to wait until it heals to see how it looks then, but I have already started thinking about cover up ideas.

Went in to Bruce Bart tattoo the other day for a consultation on a tattoo idea I wanted. The artist ray lopez designed something for me that I could have never imagined myself and was completely blown away, he seems young but you can tell he's got drive and motivation his work speaks for itself, super respectful and polite guy, but also loose and cracking jokes, really creating a nice atmosphere and helping me feel more comfortable relaxed throughout the whole experience would definitely recommend him. I was also able to get his Instagram which I will post here @raylopezap along with some pictures of his work

I was reluctant to come to a shop in Ft. Lauderdale as 94% of people in this city have or have had major drug usage problems( that was a made up statistic). Turns out, this is actually the nicest shop aesthetically that I've been to. Very clean. I had a piercing done by John White and he was so gentle. Luckily he was not coked out on special K, meth, or any other fun recreational substances. I highly recommend this shop for piercing; I'm not sure how the artists work.

First tattoo for me. Went with my daughter. We had an awesome time. Everyone there was very welcoming and spent time sketching out our tattoos. Good bonding moment with my daughter.

I've been going to Bruce Bart Tattoo for over a decade. There is simply no better tattoo artist in town than Damien Bart. The shop has been in business for decades and has a long history of being the premier tattoo studio in the area. Of the approximately 100 appointments I've had, I have never had a bad experience or been unhappy with the work I received. The best around, hands down!

I just got a septum piercing yesterday by John. He messed up the first piercing than he said he can do it again or wait to heal and do it again. My dumbass said do it again cause he already did it so why not. He shouldn't fuck this one up rightWrong I was once again. The placement is fn horrible. I'm calling them as soon as they open to get my money back. So fn pist off. Update... went in last night to get a second opinion on my septum. I don't think anyone there knows what a proper septum piercing should be. Funny how they just take your money and not give a fuck about your concern as a customer. This place is horrible don't ever go there. No one had an answer there about my septum and when they did FAIL!!! They dont give a shit about what your thoughts on your own body art. This place doesn't deserve a star. I called left a message and also emailed them. No response. I'm just going to keep going in to finally meet the owner hopefully and get my money back for a horrible job they did. FYI I took my piercing out cause it was fn hor

HORRIBLE . I got my belly button pierced here today and it is SUPER CROOKED . Also while he was attempting to pierce me , he had NO IDEA what he was doing . He kept dropping the piercing and didn't even clean or sanitize The area before piercing it. I had to ASK him to clean it afterwards . I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE FOR ANY PIERCINGS . I am VERY un happy.

Daniel Bueso did an awesome tattoo on Robert. It took a few sittings and was well worth it. He is a talented artist who took Robert's vision and made it into a tattoo incorporating his existing work into the new tattoo of an American Flag! Daniel deserves a high thank you and we would absolutely recommend him if you are in Ft Lauderdale area.

My husband and I got inked here last Sunday and the art was amazing! Go see Mike Gordillo! I have several tattoos and his came out better than my other 4!

Eric made my first tattoo experience amazing!!! 31 years of experience and it shows! He made me feel more than comfortable about getting my first tattoo and I felt like I could trust him right off the bat. You can really tell this is his passion and he puts a lot of effort into what he does. If I could give 10 stars I would! I was referred to by a friend and I am so glad I went to him. The pain was minimal. I cannot wait to get more done to this piece. I WILL be back!!!

This post is a long time coming. I've always wanted a full sleeve tattoo, but for the longest time…read moreI had no idea how to start. Like many people, I thought I could just walk into a shop and ask, "How much is a sleeve?"--and quickly realized that's not how it works. A sleeve takes time, planning, patience, and commitment. My first point of contact at Electric Street Tattoo in Ft. Lauderdale was Nick, and he was incredible in helping me plan, design, and kick off my sleeve with some major pieces. He was patient, collaborative, and made the process enjoyable. His linework is bold and crisp, and I genuinely appreciated the hours spent with him. From there, Nick introduced me to Lexi, CJ, and Lyandra, who each added meaningful pieces to my arm. Every one of them took the time to not only tattoo, but to connect through great conversations that made me feel like part of the family. To this day, I feel like I could stop by just to say hi--even without booking a session. That's how comfortable and welcomed they made me feel. While working on my sleeve, I came across an Instagram video by Carlos Gonzales at Heart in Hand Tattoo in Arlington, TX (also known for his work at Elm Street Tattoo). His video showcased his incredible ability to tie tattoos together with creative gap fillers, making the whole arm flow beautifully. The moment I saw it, I knew I had to make the trip to Texas to have him finish my sleeve. When I finally sat in Carlos's chair, it felt like we clicked instantly. He freehanded with a Sharpie, which made the planning and flow effortless, and he was both meticulous and insanely efficient. If you can handle the pain, he can accomplish a ton in a single session! He tied everything together with gap fillers and larger webs on my shoulder and elbow, and when we wrapped up, I realized he had put the perfect finishing touch on my sleeve. This journey has been deeply personal. My inner-arm soccer player was my first tattoo below the t-shirt line--visible to the world. For me, it symbolized finally being comfortable in my own skin at 40 years old, making decisions for myself instead of for others. Every artist along the way has contributed to that story, and their work is now permanently part of me. I recently saw a video of an older woman explaining why she got her first tattoo at 80 years old. She said, "When I was a kid, I got stickers for being good. I've been good my whole life--I want more stickers." That resonated with me. Tattoos are my stickers, my reminders that I've lived, grown, and celebrated who I am. So, if you're looking for artists who not only create incredible tattoos but also make you feel welcome, valued, and inspired, go see the amazing team at Electric Street Tattoo in Ft. Lauderdale--and if you get the chance, make your way to Carlos Gonzales at Heart in Hand Tattoo in Arlington, TX. These are the people you want on your sleeve journey.

While we were having lunch, she did a quick search for a highly rated tattoo shop nearby--and Electric Street Tattoo popped up. After we finished eating, we hopped in a short Uber ride and headed over. As we walked up, two guys were sitting outside the shop and greeted us. Wifey let them know she was looking to get a tattoo, and one of them said, "Come on in." In less than two minutes, he joined us inside, and the consultation began. It turns out that he was the owner of the shop. She shared her design and explained what she had in mind. They went back and forth a bit on placement and size, and he couldn't have been more helpful. He was knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely kind throughout the entire process. This design was something deeply meaningful to her--a reminder to stay centered on her spiritual journey and to keep moving forward with intention. Overall, the experience was exceptional and Josh, the owner, took great care of us. This is definitely a tattoo shop worth visiting. @whatsthenextmemory

I chose the jewelry I preferred and then I waited for a few minutes while the technician went to prepare everything to be sterilized for the procedure. It didn't take long before I was called in. She explained how the process would go and some of the things I would experience which was very helpful to me. The procedure itself had a quick painful moment. It didn't last long at all. Before I realized, we were done and my nose was sparkling with my new piece of jewelry! I wish I remember the name of the technician to give her a shout out, but if you're reading this, you were awesome :) Afterwards, I was explained the healing process and how I needed to take care of my new nose ring. Overall, it was a great experience. I think most importantly to me is that the staff made me feel safe, welcomed, and I felt informed of what was about to happen which me being nervous, made a huge difference! Ps. I think the nose ring looks epic ;) thank you!

I had a small cover up from a dragonfly to a bat it turned out better than I ever thought it could being so small my artist really did great with the details and you cannot see the old tat at all. I would recommend this place 100 percent its very clean and not over crowded like some shops. Also Bob Ross art videos a bonus. If I am ever in Ft Lauderdale again I will definitely pay them a visit. Man, what a great experience…read more I had been toying with the idea of getting a tattoo for some time and kept putting it off and naturally the state of the world had me delay it even more. I begun researching it more recently and then received an email notice from Yelp regarding Ink Addiction and what they were doing to stay safe during these times. I called it a sign and put in a request for a consultation. Making the consultation was easy and within a day or two I was over there, talking to the tattoo artist, Mel who would help me design my overall tattoo. I gave her the concept and outline, she did the rest. The consult took about 15 minutes and an appointment was made. There is $100 deposit you must put down to hold the reservation that ultimately goes toward the price of your tattoo. She gives you the rate and then the appointment is scheduled. A few days later I was back. Due to social distancing and such, it was just her and I in the shop. I noticed immediately just how clean this place was. I wish some restaurants looked this good. The session took four hours (exactly what she promised me). And I couldn't be happier with the results. She took her time with everything, applying ointment so my skin wouldn't dry out. She took pristine care of my tattoo and of me. She offered me breaks if needed and was really easy to work with. Honestly, I couldn't be happier with it if I tried. I have zero complaints. I always say after this I'm done, but I'm sure I'm not and I'll absolutely be going back to Ink Addiction for my future tattoo.

So, immediately, I wanted one, too. I have had four tattoos before, all cosmetic (2 eyebrows and 2 eyeliners). So this was a senior citizen whim fueled by my great love for Snoopy and wanting to have something done to match my kids. But I also wanted a purple rose, my favorite flower with my favorite color. So my daughter and I went to the shop. She had an old (not-so-good) cherry blossom tattoo redone, and I got my Snoopy with a purple rose. We absolutely love them! The artists are extremely friendly, oozing with talent, and work with you to get a rendition of exactly what you want before they ink the tattoo. (Shout-out to Jose and Cesar!) The place is very professional, clean (spotless), and bright. You even get to see the unopened ink (and it's expiration date) before it is used on you. They use a topical agent to lessen the pain. But it really was minimal and well worth it for the final product. Prices are reasonable. You can get an estimate before the work begins. P.S. I decided to add a smile to my Snoopy, and they did it the next day without any hassles and at no extra charge!

My husband and I always pass the shop by when we're headed to the restaurant next-door so finally we were able to dip our feet in the water through the Friday the 13th flash tattoo special. What I found amazing about the special was that it was extremely organized. Most shops that host Friday the 13th tattoos are always slammed, pricey, and even after waiting in line for hours and filling out forms, it's not even guaranteed that you will be able to get tattooed. Earlier this week the owner announced on the Instagram story feed that they would be hosting Friday the 13th tattoos. He listed out all instructions, and that individuals who were looking to get tattooed could come in Wednesday and Thursday preselect their artist designs and appointment times for Friday that way it insured everyone was able to get a chance to get a tattoo and it flowed smoothly for the artist. If you did sign up for an appointment ahead of time you only paid $30, if you decided to come in day of and there were appointments available it would be $50. They also offered $31 off of piercings so I went in early, decided to take them up on the special. I selected Amanda as my artist and a cute cat design. This gave me the opportunity to meet her since I follow her on Instagram and loved all of her designs, but I haven't been able to commit to a bicep piece until I could see firsthand how well she did with a smaller tattoo. I have PTSD from running into a few artist who screwed up a few of my tattoos, and resulted in cover ups or chewed up my skin so bad it left scarring. The shop was immaculate and sterile . It smelled cleaner than a doctors office. Amanda was kind quick, but did a thorough job with my tattoo I barely felt any pain throughout the process. The only time I felt something was when she decided to clean the tattoo with alcohol then there was a slight burn. I loved the end result and I hope to set up a conversation with her soon to discuss and bigger piece. The whole staff was amazing including the receptionist who actually remembered me when I came back. The owner took be by surprise at how approachable and kind he was. I've met a few others who were stuck up, off putting, or wouldn't give you the time of day. He was the complete opposite and even spoke to husband for awhile about designs for Japanese tattoos. If you're looking for a shop of talented and kind artist i highly recommend checking out one of their two locations. You can review artist profiles on their website or call if you have any questions.
