That does happen sometimes when you online shop, but like maybe reach out to your customer and let them know that? This has happened to me using SSENSE occasionally and they always let you know directly what happened, and often times even a small discount for the error. I was a first time buyer and treated myself to a birthday gift after staring at an item I wanted for weeks, so I was pretty disappointed. Even the response to my email was cut and dry. Won't be shopping here in the future.

Staff is always top notch and so helpful and never seem to show frustration no matter how many shows they have to retrieve. This location has a mini museum upstairs with more on the whole Fluevog story, beyond just looking at shoe art on the main floor, this little peek behind the scenes is worth popping in. I wasn't here to shop the afternoon away. My ride was parked in a loading zone and I need to efficiently hunt for shoes. A nice yellow-haired woman (with a unique accent) saw my hyperness and helped me out. I was in dire need of shoes (my previous runners served me well on this planet, but the walking gods chose to take them back in an Alberta plains tornado the day before). I tried on a few shoes. One felt weird on my toes, but looked cool. Another one felt magnificent, but was fluorescent yellow....I almost got this one. I was torn. The girl there offered to call up to their Banff store to try a store swap, but alas, I was only a ship in the night here and that wouldn't work. Sadly, I wasn't able to get some runners here, but I did love the store and will definitely come back here whenever I'm in need and in Cow Town.

The customer service was okay but not stellar. I had a clerk ask me if I was finding everything okay and when I said i needed help she just kept walking. I assume she didn't hear me but then why bother asking in the first place? I then had a rather uncomfortable conversation at the till with a store employee about how more children need to learn to tie shoes. It went on longer than I wanted (even after my purchase was complete) and I was signalling that I was trying to leave. Let me state that this first visit was by far the best of the two. I had bought the wrong size for my daughter yesterday so I came back to buy the smaller size today. I found a shoe that I wanted to get but it was on a shelf. It was within reach but I looked around to see if someone from the store was available. The aisle was deserted and I was in a bit of a hurry. I reached up towards the box when I heard "Maam.....No!!" It was in the same tone that I would talk to my dog if I'd come home and found him after he'd torn my couch to shreds. Needless to say it was a very harsh, reprimanding kind of tone. I looked over to see this employee walking towards me with her lips pursed, hand on hip, wagging her finger at me. She continued. "You do not touch those boxes". I was absolutely dumbfounded to be spoken to this way. I certainly understand the reason for having the employee retrieve boxes on a shelf and I think I'm a pretty reasonable person. All she had to do was say "I can get that for you" and there would have been no problem. As you can imagine her tone made me cranky. For the record I did not raise my voice. I did not swear at her (although I wanted to). I was just visibly ticked off. Then she had the nerve to say "You don't need to get rude with me. We don't tolerate abuse of employees here". I will say that the woman at the till was much nicer and did try to repair the situation as best she could. However I will never be back to this location ever again. I wouldn't even go back if they gave me a free pair of shoes it was that bad. My first visit yesterday would have been rated a 3 because I got what I needed but it wasn't stellar service. My second visit would have been a negative 2 on a scale of 1-5. I've worked in retail myself and can tell you that if my bosses had ever seen me treat a customer this way I would have been fired on the spot. Hopefully they pick it up a bit.....as for me I'll be trying the other locations next time.

She didn't offer a hand or ask if I needed anything. In fact, she came out of the back when I came in, stood there for a moment, and then went immediately to the back again. They were waaay over-priced for what they were. I saw some flats there, which barely consisted of anything, that were still $115. Does that seem ridiculous to anyone else? Even the baby shoes were $60. Not only were the prices outrageous, but the selection wasn't that wide. They had one wall full of boots and such, and a tiny stand in the middle of the place, but that was it. For the size of the store, and the amount they charge, I would expect the selection to be greater. Two thumbs way down for this snooty, expensive, not-so-great shoe store.

I used to buy all my shoes at Payless, but of course cheap price = cheap quality. None of my shoes…read morelasted long. Bought a few shoes from Aldo and they hurt like hell. Then I discovered this lovely company a number of years back and now a good 80% of my shoe collection comes from here. Huge selection of not only styles but brands as well. Amazing customer service. Great price for a great quality. I also give the company major props for a superb points system, and for not bombarding me with daily e-mails. This location is in a great little area as well. I've got to give major props to the sales people. I was trying on winter boots recently, grabbed a pair I liked, and moved on to look at other shoes not realizing I left my mitts behind. Sales girl recognized them as mine and instantly came over to give them back. I look forward to many more years of shopping here and seeing what they have to offer.
