We had the guys come out, review our tree removal needs, and give us a firm quote right there on the spot. Thereafter, scheduling was pretty easy too. They showed up when they said they were going to and started working immediately. From there, things went a bit wonky. They told us our job would be a one-day job. It turned into 3 days. Each day, the entire crew would just pack up and be gone, leaving each time and not communicating when, or even if, they'd be back to finish. Halfway through day-2, they moved our neighbors stuff around in their yard without their or our permission (didn't even talk to us about it). On top of that, they also messed up part of that same neighbor's yard dealing with the tree on that side of the job. The ground/grass there is pretty well destroyed, and they did not have permission to be on the neighbor's property. While expected, as we had some YUGE trees that needed to be removed (80-90 footers), our yard is completely destroyed. They did do a good job protecting our irrigation heads all throughout the yard though, even those right below where the huge trees fell. By the time they left for the 2nd day, still unfinished and not telling us when/if they'd be back, we were a bit exasperated. When we asked what was going on with the final piece of the job, the stump grinding, they said they didn't know and that it was a different team that came out and did that, and they had their own/different schedule and we'd just be worked in when they were available. Several days later, the stump grinding team showed up unannounced. They went to work on the stumps immediately, but left GIANT piles of sawdust in the yard where the stumps were ground. We weren't expecting that and calls/texts sent asking about it were not returned... finally they just sent us an invoice via email and we never heard anything else from them. We just paid the bill to be done with the job, but don't necessarily feel like we received everything we paid for in totality. Overall, they did the job, the trees and stumps are gone, and they didn't break anything that needed to be repaired, but we now have some additional work to the grounds (including our neighbors) that has to be done as a result.

They had an excellent rates and once the job was scheduled they showed up and worked until the truck was full and they had to come back another day. The only issue I had was communication in getting the service scheduled. We had them come out and do the estimate super quickly. However getting a hold of them to get the work scheduled took multiple back and forths of text messages. Overall we are extremely pleased with the service they did; just make sure that when you get the estimate you are willing to schedule that day.

We spoke with several companies, and selected Quality Tree Surgery because they were knowledgeable, had a competitive price, and had good reviews from our neighbors. They did excellent work. When we spoke with them during the job, they listened to what we wanted, explained what they were doing, and why they were doing it. They were very nice, cleaned up very well, were respectful of our neighbors' yards, and did the work in less time than they anticipated. Since then, we have used Quality Tree Surgery to aerate and overseed our yard, and to control aphids on a nearby hackberry (both are annual jobs). When we need to hire anyone to do work to our trees or yard going forward, I won't even bother getting other companies to quote the work. We just go straight to Quality Tree Surgery. They are honest, reliable, do good work, offer reasonable pricing, and every employee we have dealt with has been knowledgeable and pleasant.

WITHOUT ANY COMMUNICATION a week later an individual stopped by unannounced, opened my closed gate, and let themselves into my backyard and let my 3 dogs out. When I told the person I didn't know they would be here today, their response was, "I didn't either." I would expect any reputable company to schedule this or at a minimum communicate to the customer, which would remove any risk on both ends. Instead, they let my dogs out. Additionally, Robyn, who answers the phones, finds this to be a totally normal procedure and pushed back that they did not need to give me any notification. If my rottweiler had caused any issues I'm sure they would love the opportunity to come after me.

I used this company for about a year, and unfortunately, I would not recommend them based on my…read moreexperience. They are good at sales, but the actual lawn care results were very disappointing. For the second year in a row, my lawn is brown. I even paid more this year for additional services I did not have before, but the lawn actually looks worse. I pay them for disease control and basically everything they offer, yet the lawn still has the same issues. They keep saying it is due to the soil, but other people have told me it looks like disease. One person on their team even said it looked like disease again, but still offered no real solution. Then the office said it was not disease, but again, they did not come out, do anything meaningful, or offer a real plan to fix it. Another company I called said they were confident the issue was disease. They also said that if disease control had been done, the company should have offered to treat it or at least come out and inspect it. That made me question whether the disease control was actually working, or whether it was handled properly. To be honest, my lawn looked better before I started using them. They are expensive, and since using them, my lawn looks worse than ever. The biggest issue is that when I asked about the problem, they never really came out to inspect it and find the actual cause. It also takes days to get a response on anything, and when they do respond, it is usually just the same repeated explanation with no real solution. No one seems to take ownership, offer help, or try to actually fix the problem. When I called to cancel, they did not offer to come look at the lawn, fix anything, or make it right. The response was basically, "Ahh man, I'm sorry. I know we did our best, but I truly wish you luck." All of my neighbors' lawns look great, and they use other companies. I am moving to one of those companies because I cannot keep paying a premium price for a lawn that looks brown, unhealthy, and worse than it did before I hired them.

After a bit of back and forth and estimates, plus scoping reviews, I ended up going with Pure Turf, and so far, I am happy with that decision. I ended up signing for the next year which includes the initial fertilization and seeding, weed control and maintenance once spring comes back around. The process has been solid and easy. The team is responsive and quick to respond when needed. I communicate with them via text and they are always timely in response, while also ensuring to answer any questions I may have, etc... Since the initial seeding, I have reached back out to have a few patchy areas reseeded. They came out without delay, walked me through what to do next and how to monitor progress before the freeze of winter hits. From start to now, I have seen a great improvement in my lawn. Still have a few areas to focus on, but I am hopeful that next year I will have the lawn I am hoping (and paying) for! Overall, glad I went with Pure Turf and looking forward to next years season!
