Terrible attitude of staff. They have removed a patient with learning difficulties because the patient made a sarcastic comment in regards to not being able to get through on the phone for 3 days. They're trying to strike off natives so they can make more room for providing health care to immigrants at the cost of the tax payer. Just awful. Dirty reception room, exhausted undertrained receptionists. impossible to book a Dr appointment. Do not register here.

This is the newest addition the the group of practices, and doesn't even feel like a real GPs. The reception area is bright and spacious with TVs dotted about and there is an attached pharmacy so you can skip right out with your prescription. I've only been here once, as I tend to get sent to either Student Health or The Infirmary, but it was a pleasant experience (despite the fact that I was ill). The only problem I'd say there is with this group of practices is that it is unlikely you'd see the same doctor twice unless you specifically requested them or had an ongoing ailment/treatment. I find it's always difficult to have any rapport with a doctor at the best of times, but when you haven't built up a history with them, you can sometimes feel awkward. I soon got over that though - at the end of the day, I'm ill and they're their to cure me - sod it if I've never seen them before! read more

Anytime I've had a dental emergency, I have never been able to get seen anywhere but Ropewalks. Sometimes you have to wait a bit, but you get seen in the end. I can't remember the receptionist's name, she's older than the other one I've seen there, but during my last emergency she was so friendly and helpful. It was such a pleasant change from how rude NHS Direct had been! It almost made me forget how much pain I was in. The dentist I've had leaves a lot to be desired with "chair-side manner" but he gets the job done, even if he makes you feel like you're taking up his valuable time. Points for the receptionist, points for accepting emergency appointments, and points for being easy to locate in town. The actual dentistry isn't the best from my experience, but then again, who goes to the dentist to have fun and nice conversations? read more

the staff re lovely. the place is spotless. but l think this doctors is mainly for students. and not for the local people. who need a family doctor,, its a new doctor everytime you go,, the walk in service is walk in get a appointment and come back. l call it the come back doctors. if you are 15 mins late the doctor can refuse to see you. but if your waiting ages to see them that's ok. look the doctors are good doctors no one can take that away. and the reception staff are lovely,,, but the way the place is run.. has got me running to find another doctor. even though this one is at the bottom of the street..and be warned about traffic wardens here as well. they hide waiting for victims who park needing the pratice. have waited for my test results today . and lm gone out of that place. read more

I have nothing but problems with the reception staff, today I went to order a repeat prescription, I had to walk almost a mile as there is no provision to email or phone it in. Then to be met with its not on repeat and would have to make an appointment for the doctor, I was never informed that I had been taken off repeat. I was then offered for the doctor to call me, so I would have to walk home to get a phone call then to have to walk back down to order the script again etc etc. I asked to see someone more senior and the practice manager had an enormous chip on her shoulder before she even walked across the office to me and said that it wasnt with my 3 other scripts, I don't take any other medication I responded. Well it says so on my screen was the reply. Then she said theres nothing we can do if you don't want to wait in the walk in, I said I was not offered that I was offered the phone call, to which the origninal young lady said she had and then I was berated when I called her a liar which in my book when someone doesnt tell the truth that is what they are. I walked away without provision to now get my medication because if I ever step foot in that surgery again I think I shall scream. read more
