Must READ!! I was advised by my legal representation not to leave this review yet; but in an…read moreeffort to prevent someone else from encountering the same bad experiences I had, I've decided to move forward with this review. My experience with this office was very disappointing. I had a front tooth I needed an implant on and went to Dr. Fretwell to have it completed from start to final restoration of the crown. Before scheduling an appointment to begin, I met with her and asked specifically, "Can you make this tooth look like the crown beside it?" I was told, "Yes, absolutely. We have multiple labs we can use that will be no problem." So I decided to move forward with the treatment process and took $2,025 to start the process. First step was to remove the tooth which led to my gum being split up to the root tip and stitches which took 4 months to heal and gum tissue to grow back down in to place. Next was the implant which gets placed and down to the final stitch being in place, I told her I could feel everything but was told rather than stick me with the needle again she would go ahead and put the last stitch in. This stitch was from the pallet forward and the pain was so bad I almost got sick. Which led to her numbing me again anyway. Once again, the gum tissue was split open but eventually grew back down while waiting for the implant to heal properly. Now its time for the final restoration. I have the impressions and Im excited to have this all put behind me after nearly a year of dealing with all of this. I go in to have the crown placed and its an oversized crown that extends over the gum tissue with pink at the top of the porcelain crown. I rejected it and 4 other tries from the lab to make it look right. Even the assistants in the office said, "That cant be right." I was told by Dr. Fretwell that it was from bone and gum loss... well I wonder why I could possibly have gum loss when its tore open and made to heal repeatedly!!?? So, after several tries and me not being happy with the result. If you can imagine a HUGE tooth next to a smaller front tooth .... hideous!! I was presented with an alternative to achieve the aesthetic look that I was originally promised. The 2 options were to have the crown lengthened on the other front tooth and replace that crown or abandon the implant all together and go with a bridge. I was told my crown on the other tooth needed replaced anyway because it was fractured... but turns out after a second opinion... It was not! On this option... she did offer to pay for the pontic on the implant tooth which would still result in a whole lot more money out of my pocket. Now it has been nearly a year since I started the initial treatment and I will not be stepping back into this office nor will my 3 sons that used to go here. I will be finishing up restoration elsewhere. Beware of this place if you value your smile and money!

I had been going to Dr Tutor the past few years. They no longer took my dental insurance so I had…read moreto switch over but prior to switching I had went to another Dentist at RC dental that took my current insurance and they gave me a song and dance about needing to go to a periodontist. My teeth feel fine. I have no bleeding no infection and this dentist told me I had pus under my gums and infection in my mouth. And this was at Richland Creek with Dr. Hall. So I switched to another Insurance to go back to Dr. Tutor to get a check up and told the office what had happened to me. Well learning lesson and be careful because this is a small town and everyone knows one another. They got the information about what had happened at Richland Creek and the dentist there referring me to periodontist for maintenance and deep cleaning. So NOT only have I been blacklisted for refusing to do a deep cleaning with one dentist in Dayton but NOW I have two that have blacklisted me by referring me to a periodontist! This deep cleaning is a racket and nothing but an upsale to make money!! How do I know? I'm in the Insurance Industry...it's not rocket science. Needless to say I don't have perfect teeth but my teeth are not rotting and falling out. I take very good care of my teeth knowing that I have certain issues but not the issues that Dr Hall and the Hygienist Brawley said that I had which was pus and infection in my mouth!! So I now I have been to 2 dentists without even getting a cleaning whatsoever on my teeth. I call this an unethical practice and don't go here!!

I'm not quite sure yet. I'm only giving 3 stars for now. He jokes around but talks in circles and…read morenot sure exactly what he is saying he is going to do. But he is pushy with what he says you should do. He made my gums bleed on purpose and it hurt me. So we will see. He talked my husband into getting all his teeth pulled and the wrong ones. He needs some of his bottom teeth pulled first and we both said not to pull them all at once and he insists on all at once. I will give a better review if it comes out good. I lowered the stars to one!! From three!! He charged us out of pocket for full mouth X rays that were not covered because our insurance only covers full mouth X rays once every 3 years. They did not check first and could have done individual X rays that were covered by our insurance. We called them about this and making an appointment and they never called us back but keeps feloniously billing us! We will never go back to him. And when I get time I'm going to have my attorneys take care of this. Because we warned him to let us know what our insurance covers before he dies anything we wanted to know the price out of pocket. We found out what he wants to do is make money by doing full mouth pulling all teeth out and slapping dentures over bloody gums that will cause infection and ulcers and the dentures will never fit right because you have to wait for the gums to heal before doing dentures. Sheesh, what shysters!! Don't ever use this dentist, we would not recommend him. Now I have to find another dentist over again to fill my broken tooth and gradually pull my husbands bad teeth for dentures. He cannot take off work for the paint hat he will go through by pulling his entire mouth! That's insane!! And he cannot take pain killers, which we explained to him! Dentists don't even listen. My husband realized what this dentist was going to do to him and was very disappointed. Pick a different dentist that is going to listen to you instead of bossing you around and over charging. Understand your own insurance because they can care less, they are only about their dollar signs! Greedy greedy!! Bad dentist!!

This office was very misleading in my experience…read more My 20-year-old son went in for one tooth extraction and was quoted $59 for an initial exam. After the visit, he was given a $10,000+ treatment plan. While the extraction was listed first, the rest of the plan mixed non-urgent procedures with needed ones, with no clear prioritization. While I was on the phone with him, the insurance coordinator admitted she did not realize he had insurance. Once insurance was identified, the initial exam that was quoted at $59 was billed to insurance at over $300, despite the office advertising a $99 exam. His entire $1,250 annual dental benefit was quickly depleted on non-emergent services. This may be legal, but it is not ethical. Because of this, my son is now out a large portion of his coverage and may not be able to complete needed dental work elsewhere. If you want clear pricing and honest treatment planning, I recommend going elsewhere.
