Thankfully this is my closest library because it is one of the best in the area when I think about it! The people that work here are always friendly and very knowledgeable when it comes to the new books, old books and where to find virtually any of the books on the racks! This library is always so clean and they always have a nice amount of copies of new releases so I don't need to be put on a waitlist to check the book out. I love that the library is two floors and the second floor is always so nice and quiet. The bathrooms here on both floors are always very clean as well and the tables are nicely spaced out in the library so I don't feel like I am ever hovering over other patrons while I am here! They have a friends of the library where you can buy second hand books and the deals they have on them are wonderful. I usually end up walking out with a stack of books way too high, for less than ten dollars. The best part is the money goes directly towards the library and helping run events that are open to the general public! read more

Never been to this library before. It was located right next-door to my doctors office, so I decided to stop by and check it out. It's a beautiful library with two floors. This location also has the biggest Friends of the Library books for sale that I've ever seen. I only found a few books, but I am still thoroughly impressed with how many books they offer for sale here. They still have tons more in the back that they need to put out gradually. On the second floor, you'll find many kids studying or using the computer. Plenty of parking outside. The high ceiling structure is very nice here as well. There's also a little sitting area with vending machines you can sit and chill at. In the women's bathroom, there is a sign that says if you need feminine products, go talk to the front desk inside the library. Cool that the offer this for the girls and women. read more

This is a great and very organized library. It has two floors and situated right next to a very beautiful pond. It has a lot of books with different genres and languages. They have different computers that you can use for the day. They also have a lot of seating. They have an area downstairs that's just for kids. read more

Local libraries are a great place to go for more than just checking out a book to read. They have classes to teach English, exercise classes for seniors, and storytime for children to just name a few of the offerings. There are used books for sale on the first floor and on the second floor there is a computer lab which is free for the public to use. Both floors have either books or mixed media, which can all be checked out. There is plenty of help if you need assistance in finding anything that they have, and when you check out, the nice staff has stickers for kids and kids at heart. There is plenty of parking both in the surface lot out front and also in the parking garage. Books can be returned through the drive by drop boxes or brought inside. read more

Broward County West Regional Library was my Home away from home when I lived in Plantation and attended the community college. I never had a problem finding what I needed for research. It was a great location between my apartment and the college. It's clean, neat and quiet. When I moved away I brought boxes of books to donate. They may not take donations of used books any longer but they were happy to have them back then. I would definitely get a library card and spend time there if I lived in Plantation. It's a good place to volunteer too! I spent just as much time there when my daughter was in school as I did when I was! Even after my daughter was gone I used the library. I may still have my expired card somewhere! read more

Children's section is great!! I love this library. The librarians are so sweet. I love the story time with the lady who reads to the preschoolers on Thursday. The two librarians in the children center are extremely helpful and so sweet and caring. Those two I know have been there before covid. I am glad a few weeks ago I decided to try this library again. Oh a great series (stand alone) books for young children is the Katie Woo series. The only thing I can not stand at this location is the rude librarian or helper at the front counter. She is an older lady who is Asian looking who was extremely rude when asking for help. I had two young girls who checked out dvd and we needed help opening it up. She was so rude that she didn't want to help us open it. She was there before Covid and she was horrible. One of the reasons why I left years ago. read more

This is a nice two floor library with a wide wrap around staircase. They do have an elevator. This library is bright, clean, well organized & maintained. The staff is friendly and helpful. There is plenty of parking in the front entrance area but they also have a covered garage across the way. When you walk in to the library on the left hand side is an area where they sell books at like flea market prices. It's cool to peruse. Every now and again I'll find something interesting. They also take book donations if you're looking to get rid of some books. Whenever I have come here they have always had what I'm looking for and have assisted me in locating the item(s). Check out is smooth. They give you three weeks but can extend it another week right there if you request it. You can also request an extension for your item(s) by logging in online too. Their are other things you can do by logging in to their website but I can't remember them. Got to love technology. For your convenience they also have a drive thru depository. read more

This is a beautiful quiet library. The people who use the library are very respectful of the space and the other people who attend. They have plenty of space and chairs for one to be comfortable feeling like they have their own space in a room full of people. I go to this library often and am always delighted to work there. Talk about massive! I wish I was a resident of Broward county so that I could frequent this location. I came here for an interest meeting that did not end up happening. However the visit was not a waste. The Friends organization was having a book sale and I was able to rack up on some books for my son and myself. Win win situation if you ask me!!! Whenever in the area, I will certainly pop in and see if they are having another book sale! Very impressed with this branch. read more

Easy access and no hassle, even for a non-resident like myself. I had a few hours where I needed to do some quiet study and this was the perfect spot. I found a study carrel on the upper floor that was secluded and had a power outlet to recharge my phone and my laptop. All was good until some jerk decided to make a phone call. In a library? And we know he's a jerk because he saw my "glare of death" and he did nothing. I can't tell you about the collection of books and periodicals as I am not a resident and can't check them out. But the free wi-fi? Excellent! read more

This library is large and has 2 floors. The creation station is up stairs of you need to use 3D printers. The staff there are very kind and willing to help. They make my daughters feel super excited to read and they have great programs. The summer reading challenge really motivated my kids to read and they offered so much. This library will give you online tutoring and even rooms if you need them. There is so much to do here and it's all free! read more

For as long as I can remember, my mom would take me to this library from just a toddler. I would go to the young toddlers and children programs at the old library before they knocked it down. For many years I helped out at this library location even after they built the new building when I was in high school. I have so many great memories shared here. Not only did I volunteer here and was apart of their teen board coming up with ideas and activities to bring teenagers in, but I also grew many bonds with the librarians. Coming back here after work tonight was awesome. Getting to go to the adult coloring club and seeing librarians I've known all my life. Getting to catch up with them is nostalgic. The place is very friendly. Even though this place is fairly new, it is starting to change a bit. Hopefully people in the community can treat it with respect and not leave their garbage and trash behind when they leave here. Can't wait to come back soon to check out some books and DVD's! read more

Looking for a close spot to study near the house. Decided to try out my local library. I have frequented Nova in the past, but I didn't want to pay for parking since I am not a student. This isn't 5 stars right off the bat because their hours are HORRIBLE for people trying to study. Mon and Tues Noon-8 pm. Wed-Sun 10-6 pm. While I appreciate the hours for the working people, A GIRL NEEDS TO STUDY EARLY IN THE AM AND MAYBE INTO THE NIGHT. Anyways, I pulled up and there is a TON of parking. The outside is clean and the building looks very new. I walked in and there is a cute little gift shop, with some great deals on jewelry. STOP YOU ARE HERE TO STUDY. I walked around downstairs, which is a little loud, i.e. normal speaking voices. There is a kid and teen center towards the back. I walk upstairs and I am greeted by peace and quiet. There are a ton of computers, lots of printers and rows of books. They also have private study rooms. I find a cubby near the windows and get to work. They also have couch areas, study tables for 4 people, personal cubbies, and computer desks. The cubbies are nice for privacy. The other tables are kind in the open. It remains quiet up there and most of the people are respectful. You get a few ignorant ones that walk around and talk and talk or bring their screaming kids upstairs or cough, hack, snort, and sneeze everywhere, but most of the time it is quiet. No one bothers you. There is security that walks around and the staff is very nice. Bathrooms and everything are always kept clean. I see custodians walking around wiping down and picking up after others all day! Great library with a good selection, great place to study. I just wish they had better hours, but you will see me there! read more

This location was by far the worst library branch I have been to Broward County. There is lots of noise when you go upstairs and are in a quiet area, where the security guard is walking around people are still playing their music with no headphones and still answering phone calls. The staff and security guard do nothing. The staff at the branch are unhelpful and are downright rude. On the first floor checkout desk I swear they were having a competition as to who could avoid helping peaking to me the longest. One of them even dropped her chair so low I couldn't see her head over the counter. The woman who lost had to help me and she gave me what I can only describe as the classic stink eye and accompanying sigh that has been perfected over the years by every teenager in America. Meanwhile, her cohort gave me an entirely apathetic stare when I asked a question. While I could revel in more tales of bad behavior from this branch, I will be succinct and say that I will never return. Next time I want to be treated poorly and have someone give me attitude, I'll just stay home and let my kids do it. read more

The best library in Broward County by far - even better than the main library downtown! I do my own version of free netflix with their online hold system. Completely free unless you bring back a title late. But you can also renew online to avoid this. This library in particular has 3 (or more) double sided stacks of DVDs and just as many with CD's. A movie and music buffs dream! The library is always clean, lots of parking and the staff is super friendly. There are plenty of computers and easy to use online catalogs for ease of finding a book. This library is great! They have a good selection of new books and it's not terribly difficult to get a best seller shortly after it's released. The music and DVD selection is expansive. They have a little bit of everything. And the amount of audiobooks is amazing. The children's and young adult section is nice, great place to kill some time with a little one. The upstairs has a large non fiction section, and lots of seating. There are some public access computers available, also. The staff here is always very friendly, and they offer a large variety of computer classes. If you use the library regularly they offer an app that will tell you the hours, will let you search and request books and tells you what events they are having. They have self checkout and even a cafe with snacks and drinks. The best part about this library? They are open 7 days a week! West Regional is definitely worth the trip if you love books. read more

I come to this branch even though it is not very close to my house, because they often have things here that I can't get at my local branch. It's a smaller library, but they have a large selection of movies and music CDs, and a decent selection of books. I arrived 10 minutes before they opened this morning, and the one thing that I noted that they don't have that I think they should is some benches out front. It would've been nice to sit there and read my book that I have not quite yet finished while I waited for them to open. I definitely would recommend this location. read more

I was happy to learn of the cool summer programs here. Unfortunately the librarians in the children's section are overwhelmed with children. We showed up for a 4:00 STEAM Stories and activities. As the line of excited children grew, the librarians kept telling us that people show up late all the time so they would open the doors at 4:05. This is stupid. At 4:05 there was a rush of excited children pushing to get into the room. We were lectured to not touch anything on the tables. There was no story, just an unorganized shouting of instructions. Later, as we were waiting for friends, I asked the librarian for crayons and paper for my 6 year old. She said they don't allow crayons because then the tables get written on. I'm sorry, this is a CHILDREN'S section. Crayons wash off. I then asked for help with their Summer reading app, I was told it was clunky and to use the online version instead. Gee thanks. I tried to log my son onto the computers and was having trouble, as he doesn't have a library card, as he uses mine. No one could help me. Overall, this library is one of the most unfriendly libraries I have ever been to. read more

I have been coming to this wonderful Library for years since my son was a little boy. It is a great place to bond with your children reading stories and educating them, there are events for them and also a great place to study and just have a quiet time reading to your hearts content. I still love to go to the library and get books and also books on CD to listen too, as well as downloading from the library onto my Kindle. I like going to the library for 2 reasons one for nostalgia and the other because I love the atmosphere and love to read. The librarians at this branch are always very helpful and knowledgeable. My daughter also used this branch a lot for quiet study area whenever home from college on breaks. read more

I love that this branch is open every day. Pay attention to opening/closing times, as the library is open later on Mondays and Tuesdays. I haven't been to any of their special events or workshops yet, but it's something I'd like to do. I participated in a few NaNoWriMo sessions here. It's a good place to bring your laptop if you want a quiet place for concentration. I would love for this branch to get a creation station like the main branch downtown. read more

This is a really big library with a lot of kids. On the bottom floor. The top floor is a good quiet place to do stuff. On thing there aren't any tables in the open you have to pay for a room if you want quiet which bothers me. I would choose a free library over this where I don't have to pay to have a quiet work space. But other than that, it's clean, the staff is nice and if your willing to spend some bucks it a great place to do work. read more
