There are plenty of restaurants and bars in the area, so it is possible to have a nice evening without having to move the car.

There's a good mix of mediums in the pictures and some mighty nice porcelain and pottery. It is on two floors, however, so if you have limited mobility, expect to see only half the displayed items. We headed to the antiques shop and picked up three lovely items, of which we managed to haggle a discount and the man helped load things into the car. I have it on good authority the cafe there is lovely, as it's the place my mum stops for lunch on her cycling, and so will be back to try it soon.

We toured…read moreShakespeare's New Place to learn a little of Shakespeare's history and actually step foot on the same grounds where he resided. Unfortunately the original house was demolished (for reasons I won't spoil) so a garden has been constructed as a replacement. The estate has artworks and the Great Garden, where a couple of people hosted a picnic or relaxed in the shade. It might have been due to the extreme heat or season, but the Knot Garden did not have a full bloom of flowers. Exhibition room was informative on Shakespeare's family life, although we finished the entire property in less than thirty minutes. Tickets for just this property are £15 each. A Shakespeare's Story ticket for £26.50 includes entry to Shakespeare's Birthplace (£20) and Anne Hathaway's Cottage (£15) as well. Just visiting one location was enough for us so we opted-out of the story pass, especially since Anne Hathaway's Cottage was far out of the city.

A frequent haunt of American travellers, for obvious reasons; the manor boasts an excellent herb garden, which is well worth a visit, and hosts fantastic special days known as 'living history' days, which are great for children, as there is lots of dressing up involved and interesting food and fun games. The fabulous old building was built during Shakesperian times and is a good example of a modest housing and garden abode. The gift shop is extensive and the cafe has a good selection of food and refreshments. The village of Sulgrave itself is beautiful, and a fine example of Northamptonshire country-style. There is a lovely village shop, run only by the community and volunteers! unusual in these times! The village pub is good too, with the same good service and quality. All round, a great day out for the family, but compact enough also for a quick drop in visit. Highly Recommended.

A creative place, where children can realise their potential. The Dream Factory, the theatre's home in Warwick, has several rehearsal spaces and it's own theatre space to seat over 180. It also houses it's own cafe, so parents can wait for their children while in sessions, also acting as a refreshment centre for the interval. Definitely worth a visit if in the region.

Inside there is a bar which is of reasonable price. The staff are very friendly and show you where you need to go if you get lost. The guys that run the place are great, the 6 different arena are amazing fun and the facilities on site are very good. If your looking for a great day in the country shooting things you can't go wrong here. I'll be going back just as soon as I get paid.
