Thorough | Informative | Fun…read more Thorough: The entire process was really easy. From my initial call with Cedric and the team, they were quick, easy and very knowledgeable on the numbers. They were also very flexible with pricing in terms of making it at a point where my group of 22 dudes for a bachelor party felt comfortable. informative: The trip was great, every stop came with access to how each brewery made their beer and a variety of taste test (2 - 4 beers). Our package came with 4 breweries and food at the final stop. The food options were cheeseburger, poutine, and a salad. Fun: Overall Cedric matches your energy level. We had a rowdy group which was a bit intoxicated. Our group had a great time, learned a lot and having transportation included took a big burden off of our group. We had a pretty cool 25 passenger bus which took us to every location. It was a great way to see other parts of the city. each leg of the trip was 10-12 minutes long, so we could chat, see some sights, and ask questions about the city. Pro Tip: Call ahead and price shop around. Depending on group size you may want to go with another place because they are on the higher end of the brew tour industry in Montreal. However, if you have 16+ people in your group ... they are the only game in town that guarantees transportation and seating for everyone in your group.

Once we arrived, Mat was super welcoming and understanding of us being late. He provided us with so much knowledge about beer, local breweries, his personal experience with brewing beer, and history about the city. We met some great people on this tour and made friends that we are still in contact with. I want to go back to Montreal just so i can do this tour again with the hopes of having May as our guide again. I would recommend this tour to anyone that likes beer or doesn't like beer. I'm not a huge beer drinker but the experience helped me develop more of an appreciation. I love trying new things and this tour allows you to try such a variety of things i would have never tried on my own.

Frederick, our guide, took eight of us over a 7 mile tour of some of the classic neighborhoods of Montreal. His love for his hometown truly shines. We took about three hours because he made a point of showing us some classic Montreal native spots such as an immense farmers market filled with luscious locally grow produce. If we were staying long enough to cook, I'd be heading straight back there tomorrow . Frederick is a certified guide and while his knowledge is near encyclopedic, he never drones. He always invites questions and made us laugh a lot. Ask him how poutine got its name. He created a perfect blend of peddling and savoring He spaced out our rest stops in such a way that we were never bored with resting and nor fatigued with pedaling.

I had a great time with Frederic, who told stories while we immersed ourselves in Montreal's history. The handmade bagels were the best--so good that I could have enjoyed them without cream cheese. The three hours flew by and the route was wonderfully flat. Their location is ideal, right next to a cafe where you can grab coffee and a snack before or afterwards.

I was planning on surprising my wife with a nice romantic dinner. She had an accident a few years ago and has lasting daily symptoms from her brain injury and loud restaurants are very difficult for her. Noise cancelling headphones help her, but it just extends the period of time before she is exhausted by a little bit. When I found these dome experiences, it was perfect, we could go out to eat without the background noise in an amazing setting! Arrived on Saturday and they could not find our reservations, I had downloaded the tickets from TripAdvisor. Initially, he tried to tell me it was for the boat restaurant, but the tickets clearly said dome experience. He called the owner and after a bit, the owner told him we cancelled. We did not cancel, nor does TripAdvisor allow any cancellations of this particular experience. I was extremely disappointed, but what we saw while we were there waiting softened the blow a bit. Upon getting back to our hotel later, I logged into my credit card account, and did indeed see a refund for the tour 4 days after we booked, but we never received any email notification on that, and had no idea. Assuming they aren't synced up properly, and possibly overbooked between their website and the 3rd party site. Now back to what we saw while there... When we arrived, we were slightly early, so we boarded the boat, and went downstairs to use the restroom, which is the main dining area. There was a large rack that held plates of food (over a dozen) in the main hallway, all uncovered, and less than 5' from the Men's room door. While in the restroom, there was a small home type soap dispenser that was completely empty, and upon my wife completing her visit to the ladies room, she mentioned the same thing for the women's room. Got a very bad vibe of the cleanliness of the entire operation, and in reading reviews for the boat experience (which is the same food as the dome), many review complained about poor tasting food, hair in food, etc. Certainly, if they had plates of food yet to be served out in the full open near the men's room, I can only imagine what we're not seeing behind the scenes. Ended up walking back to Old Town and going to the Keg steakhouse. My wife didn't last long there, and it was not the experience we wanted, but the food was excellent. I'm hoping that the place gets a visit from health inspectors, as the issue that we saw alone had to be a code violation and nobody bothering with soap in the bathrooms, which were the only bathrooms there, so the employees use them too. If you do end up going, I imagine the domes are incredible, just maybe bring your own food! (Kidding of course, they would not allow)

The hop on hop off in Montreal was fabulous, and we stopped at all of the biggest sights in the city, like Olympic Park, St, Joseph's Oratory, the Biodome, the Botanical Gardens, and Notre Dame Basilica, among many other options when you hop on and off to plan things you want to hop off and see. The Quebec City Day Tour was great as well, with stops in Old Quebec, Parliament Hill, Montmorency Falls, and the Place Royale. The Laurentian Mountains day trip was a scenic drive through the mountains to St. Sauveur and St. Adolphe d'Howard, including the beautiful Lac des Sables. Gray Line Canada is definitely more an aggregator of tours. You could probably book these tours locally or self drive a few of them, but if you are looking for more of an all-in-one tour plan, Gray Line could be the right fit for you.

The bus was large and comfortable and our tour guide and driver were amazing. The driver gave us great recommendations of places to go as well. We got off a couple times, at Place d'Armes in Old Montreal in front of Notre Dame, the Tower of Montreal, to grab coffee and food at Masionneuve Market, and the amazing overlook of the city at Mount Royal. They gave us a few options for drop off so we could decide where to spend the rest our day and the pickup was centrally located near our hotel, the Fairmont Queen Elizabeth. All in all, the half day tour is highly recommended and a great value so not sure why the ratings average so low.

I've ziplined before while on vacation, where we were surrounded by greenery. I thought doing it in the heart of Montreal with MTL Zipline would be a new way to experience it. (I was right). As you read the safety protocols and sign waivers, there are a few screens set up so you can watch videos of other zipliners. You are provided with a helmet and harness, which they confirm is placed properly and securely (it's very comfortable; personally speaking, anyhow). The staff members you meet at every stage are really nice and you don't feel rushed. After this, you walk up several flights of stairs to what I call the "launch point". The harness is attached to the zipline, and in what feels like no time at all- you're flying through the air. The view of the Old Port is beautiful and it's fun to see onlookers below. You want to absorb everything you're seeing, and you do, but it is also over before you know it. It's an amazing experience and I could do it over and over again but I am appreciative of having the opportunity to do it at all! It's a fun experience to share with family and create memories. The price is great too (about $25+ per person and they also offer mini putt packages). I highly recommend it, whether you were born and raised here or simply visiting.

The process is fast: - sign a waiver - pay at the counter - head back outside to get geared up Most of the workers here are young but they do an amazing job of making sure you are well strapped into your harness and helmet. I have to say, when I saw the tower in person I was questioning whether I could climb up that high without panting. My advice is to take your time. Surprisingly, I made it all the way without huffing and puffing in the 88 degree weather. There is a nice breeze up top. The most exciting moment was seeing that red light turn to green, the gates swinging open and her releasing me. If you're an adrenaline junkie, you'll love this. Do enjoy the moment and view because it is over very quickly. Where else will you get to zip over the St. Lawrence River and alongside buildings? The speed picked up towards the end and I was like...oh sh*t, is it going to be a hard abrupt stop? A worker will be there to catch you and you will swing like a pendulum. I saw two very brave 6 year old girls do it without any fear and then another kid that was about 9-10 that freaked out as soon as he was strapped in. I know parents want to do it but make sure your child is up to this. If you have long hair, it must be tied up in a ponytail so it doesn't get caught in the zip line. As I exited I was startled with a camera. Worker: do you want a photo? Me: (giggling) Ummm, that would be a no. Worker: (chuckling) no? Me: (giggling again) yeah definitely not. Ms. Bobalicious does not look cute in a helmet. I don't understand the complaint about the price from other reviews. For about $22 U.S., I thought it was totally worth it. It's all about the experience. I say...Just Do It! Check out their website for more info.
