The other guys will bring you seasoned firewood at best, and that has plenty of bugs and pests that will then be entering your home. Seasoned firewood can also have termites or termite nests in it and should never be located near your home. KILN DRIED firewood has none of that, has no moisture, burns cleaner, hotter, and better, and starts much easier. Seriously it is worth paying a little bit more for quality and to protect the inside and outside of your home and chimney. I actually order firewood from them from out of state, Texas, to be delivered to my mom's house for when my wife and I come to visit the cold, cold north. When I order from Tim he could not be more accommodating. His deliveries are always spot on and he goes out of his way to be careful while making the delivery. Their firewood product is always top grade and affordable. They have seasoned firewood that is not too wet and not so dry that it burns like tinder. It took a few tries to discover Woody View Farms as a source, but as long as Tim and Laura are selling firewood I'll be a customer. Please note - I rarely give a five star rating because most experienced yelpers will think it's an employee, or the owner, posting to try to fluff up their public opinion. Brian has it all sorted by tree type....Cherry, Oak etc. No digging through a mixed pile of wood to pick out the good or specific pieces. His firewood is clean, healthy looking, and affordable. His lot is organized by wood types whether seasoned wood or fresh cut. Every piece is great! Brian always either answers his phone when we call, or calls us back within 24 hours. Then I inquired about a face cord for my neighbor, and I was quoted $340. That didn't make sense since a face is a third of a cord, so I asked for confirmation, and I got a response saying basically "I didn't understand, the cord is $1,300." $1,300 for a cord of wood? I didn't ask for Sequoia or teak. I've been getting wood for years from places as far away from me as this place, same amount, same mix, carry-up, and it's never been even half this amount. I understand getting wood in the city is expensive, but $1,300 is an absolute joke. Definitely shop around.
