This is my family's place for flowers when we want to get some flowers for our visits for late loved ones. It's also a good place to get flowers for any other occasion where you want to gift flowers for loved ones, or maybe just to have a nice centerpiece of blooming ones in your home. They have a great selection of flowers, from larger bundles with mixes of roses, daisies, tulips, carnations...you name it. They also have budget-minded bundles for about $3.99 each, that usually includes 1-2 roses and a daisy or carnation. They look pretty good if you just want to get a smaller bundle. They can also wrap your flowers in craft paper, for a more put-together look, and I believe it's complimentary, depends on your flower bundle you buy here. If not, it'd be a minimal charge. There's usually one person manning this freestanding flower shop. It's also very accessible if you're coming from either direction of 19th Avenue, though very easy to just drive to if you're heading towards SFSU/Stonestown area. There's street parking if you plan to shop around, as this is right by residential areas. Shop takes cards and of course cash. Definitely worth a visit for flowers. read more

About a month ago I got a bouquet mix ($29.99) and two of the lilies that have not bloomed, turned brown at the tips, and wilted before it even bloomed. This week however, I bought the same bouquet though with slightly different flowers, they appear to be blooming just fine two days later. I do like how they wrap your order with green or brown poster paper and all of the staff are generally nice and very helpful when making my selections. I always leave satisfied and thus I do leave a cash tip each time though I pay with card. Despite still being in the process of setting up for the day, the worker was kind enough to stop and help me create my own personal bouquet. As I haven't made a bouquet myself before, I was quite nervous on how I would go about making one. The staff member who helped me was very patient and answered all my questions and even gave me suggestions based on his expertise and experiences with other customers. He made creating the bouquet super easy and fun! All I had to do was pick out some flowers and some greens, and he did his magic. Good to note, the bouquet can be wrapped in either green or brown kraft paper. your choice! I love Brothers Papadopoulos!!! Even though I live in East Bay, this little shop is always the first place I think of when I need flowers; their quality, value, service, and reliability make the trek to SF worth it. It might be easier to grab a bouquet from grocery stores (e.g. Safeway, Trader Joe's, Costco) but the flowers there simply don't compare in terms of the diversity of flowers offered, the care the flowers are given, or the service. Other flower shops may be "fancier", but they also charge prices that are more than x5 higher than Brothers Papadopoulos. I went on a Sunday morning around noon, and picked up some tulips ($3/bouquet for 5-ish tulips) and another bouquet (carnations, queen anne's lace, roses, and gerberas) for about $12. I saw some other bouquets that were *huge* and the highest price tag I saw in the entire store was $14. All of the flowers were in bloom and it seems like they get fresh shipments of flowers daily. If desired, they wrap your bouquet in brown Kraft paper to give the flowers some extra security. I'd recommend coming in earlier during the day, especially on weekends, if you want bigger selections of flowers. On the Sunday late morning that I went, most of the tulips were gone but it seems like they still had other bouquets in stock. Support your local floral shop! Put them into the water right away when got home. However, the next day roses already became soft and can't even stand up straight toward end of the second day. I stopped by shopping for a bouquet as a gift and I opted to combine two rose bunches into one and they were able to quickly rewrap them with brown paper to make them more presentable. They had lovely arrangements of roses including baby's breath and greens to complement the flowers. A rose bunch costs around $14 which is so affordable even compared to grocery store prices. This is my go to place for flowers when I'm in San Francisco. The only issue I see is parking on busy days, it can be hard to pull over on 19th avenue so you might have to park in one of the side streets and walk over. This is the most wonderful flower shop! I found them while planning a baby shower. For the "activity" I planned for everyone to make flower crowns. Flowers were also the main decor for the shower. Tossi was so helpful! I visited a couple weeks before the vent and he helped me pick out flowers that fit within my budget, in season, and within the color profile I had in mind for the event. He even took time to tell me how to care for the flowers, by spraying them with water a few times a day and keeping them in a cool place. This flower spot has been at the corner of 19th and Quintara for as long as I can remember, and it's a great experience every time I visit. Customer service is great -- they leave you alone when you are browsing the selection, but they are always available if you have questions, which I appreciate because I tend to take a while choosing my bouquets! They offer to wrap your arrangements in green or brown craft paper (brown is my personal favorite)! All of the flowers are very reasonably priced and they have a nice selection. I docked one star because some of the roses in mixed bouquets were a little dried up (I arrived around 10am), but most of the arrangements looked fresh. read more

Mickey Mouse Flowers, Low Quality, exposed to sunshine, heat, traffic, and polution. My housemate bought some flowers from them and brought them home. She knows NOTHING about flowers and they are the worst flowers I have ever seen. A hand tied bouquet with LOTS of greenery - 2 stems of leather leaf, 1 stem myrtle, 2 stems of Lemon Leaf, 1 Iris (blown open) 1 carnation and last and of course least 1 stem of pompoms. I HATE carnations and pompoms. Ive walked by this Flower stand numbers of times and Ive always overlooked them I would never buy flowers here. The buckets look dirty and I doubt that these flowers are very fresh. Its as if these guys shop for the cheapest flowers at the Flower Market and sell them on busy 19th and Quintara for a cheap price but really they are making high margin on crap quality flowers. And its all the same Mickey Mouse stuff. I'd NEVER order an arrangement here. This is by no means a flower shop. I have warned my housemate to NEVER buy flowers from them again, they are crap! I live right by this flower stand. I needed to fly across the country after working 14 hours to go see my mother and wanted to bring her flowers. I asked the gentleman what kind of flowers would hold up the best and he directed me towards a pretty bunch and then wrapped them up for me.
