If you are interested in receiving your own meat or dealing with a business owner who takes pride and responsibility in his work, you'd be advised to avoid this company. Based on a recommendation from my guide, I took my elk to Brother's for processing and received processed meat that clearly wasn't mine or even remotely cut to my specifications. How did I know it wasn't my meat, you ask? The processed, sealed bags included liver and heart, which I never supplied to Brother's in the first instance; and the backstraps, which were supposed to have been cut into steaks, were cut as roasts and tasted gamey like they'd sat in the sun for 24 hours. (Being a meat hunter, I'd chosen a small bull elk and meticulously handled the meat before taking it to Brother's.) The worst part of all of this is the ensuing dishonesty. Dave (who seems to be one of the owners at Brother's) initially blamed my guide for the mistake, claiming my guide switched my elk with someone else's (which clearly didn't happen). Later, he retracted his blame and promised my guide to give me a refund. However, a full 7 weeks and multiple phone calls later, he still hasn't provided me the refund. If Brother's eventually provides me a refund I promise to retract this post and give them a 3-star review for taking responsibility for their actions. read more
