As for the food, you will probably need a moment in front of the window before taking your decision: there are so many patisseries, all more tempting than the other! But don't worry: judging by the numerous people there and their happy faces, i guess you can't go wrong and will enjoy any of their delicacies !

We sat pretty close to the doors at first and even if we changed seats it still was cold. It is because the doors are large and opens all the time for visitors or even for those passing by outside. I had the Oreo Dream cake - and it was absolutely a dream! You do not need cream or vanilla custard to this cake. Even if I would recommend this place for the cakes, I still can't give it more than a 3star rating due to dull location and no AMEX acceptance. Coffee is SEK20 and refill is included. Most larger cakes are arounf SEK45. They have free wifi - i did not try the connections though. They do not accept AMEX.

Café Carolina is located in the Carolina Rediviva library, just to the left if you're entering through the front. The person working was nice and patient with my English. The food is cheap but its quality is comparable to the price. I had the 50sek mozzarella pie with salad. It was a prepackaged frozen pie and the salad was a tiny handful mixed greens. Fika was okay, but nothing special. I got the strawberry biscuit, and it was way too artificially sweet for me (but I haven't tried that before.) There is a good amount of seating, but it was very crowded at lunch. Most people had brought their own lunch, and the line for the microwave tended to be much longer than the line for food.
