I have an 1894 Marlin. I had the dreaded "Marlon jam." I called broomstick and he was going to be in my area on April 10th for the Texas State Championship. I took my rifle to him. He worked on it. And then we went out and fired it. It worked great. My son and I were at a match this week. We both use the rifle. We put double ammunition through it because there was two of us using it.
