With IND being my home Airport I have been dismayed over the years that the shops have only been engaging or enjoyable to browse when the holiday merchandise of "A Christmas Story" comes through...Not anymore!!! ink by Hudson is a very welcome addition to not just the airport, but my new flight routine! Not anticipating a fun new store, ink was an exciting discovery today! There is a wide selection of books and a variety of Knick knacks and gift items that bring the store closer to what I see (and shop within) in larger airports I frequent like Boston, Charlotte, or LaGuardia! I was pleased to find markup minimal and on some items non existent, a rarity in airports these days. I encourage anyone with some spare time to stop in, perhaps just before an order of the famous shrimp cocktail of Harry and Izzy's?!

Parking is usually available since it sits back off of Rockville Road (behind Burger King) in the strip center. The store is filled with a large amount of gift items or items you personally might enjoy. They have all the typical Hallmark holiday decor intermixed with other brands. Right now they are filled with Valentine and Easter items. I'm here for a sympathy card and they have a decent selection. It's always difficult selecting a sympathy card as what can you say to comfort your family or friend. Hopefully a card will let them know you're thinking of them. Items range from holiday items, stuffed animals, sports themed gifts, home decor, collectibles, gift bags, wrapping paper and so much more. I enjoy browsing the store for new arrivals. I find stocking stuffers, future birthday and anniversary cards and gifts often plus much more. The staff is always helpful and friendly. Stop in and browse the store.

I had 3 hours on my hands, so I finally decided to check out the VB store and get my daughter a gift. The store is bright, cheery, and stocked full of merchandise! All the newest styles are there! The airport stores are not known for new merchandise... Travel as much as I do, trust me stores need to change the windows a little more often! Not here... Patricia shows me the new flip flops! I didn't know VB makes flops? They were darling, so darling I bought 4 pairs (myself of course, sister, daughter, and niece). I also bought a new carry on for my daughter and a cute matching make up bag. The service was phenomenal! Patricia was just fun to work with. She was showing me all the latest stuff... You can tell she just loves what she does! She wasn't over selling me by any means. However... I walked out doing some damage! I think all around everyone was happy! The shop sits next door to LePeep, so after LePeeps, take a second to pop in. I am so excited for Brooke who continues to make her dreams come true. She started painting furniture in her home, and now her business has grown into this beautiful shop. Brooke still paints furniture if you are considering updating an item. She painted a small cupboard for me and did a nice job. The shop is filled with gift items, home decor from furniture to soy candles, vases, greenery, pottery, mirrors, table lamps to floor lamps, Artisan tea towels, wooden lazy susan, artisan dessert plates to framed watercolors to name a just a few items. They even carry a few gifts for a new baby. You can purchase an adorable, sweet swaddling blanket and a precious "My First Snuggled Bunny." To cute!! I was surprised to find the ever popular Taylor Swift designs with tee shirts, stickers for a phone, cooler, notebook, or laptop. As you can imagine, they sell out fast. If you are interested in Indy 500 decor, then you most likely have seen Justin Patten's artwork. His cavased printed artwork comes ready to frame. I received one as a gift from folks staying at my home, and we love it.

By the way, the Pharmacy is inside the Gift Shop if you need to find. They carry stuffed animals, baby clothing and accessories, picture frames, greeting cards and gift bags, scraves, jewelry, nightlights, caramel popcorn candies and beverages plus much more. I pop in often for treats, beverages, small gift items and just to browse the sales.
