I honestly believe the groomers have potential and should be trained better. But if you honestly aren't comfortable doing a dog's haircut, i rather the honesty and not the mess up. I have a bernedoodle and asked to have him short for the summer with some poofiness on the top of his head. I even showed picture inspiration. I'm thinking they'll fluff him out and shorten his hair, NOPE. FIRST of all, it took 5 hours and a half. Absolutely too long. SECOND, my dog is shaved down to the skin, they said he had some matt's but i'd think they'd brush it out or even call to ask if i wanted him shaved down to the skin because of this. Nobody notified me. THIRD, he wasn't even fluffed out brushed nothing. It looks like they air dried him the whole time. Probably why it took 5hrs??? According to Petco's vaccination policy (as shown in the screenshot included in the photos), the rabies vaccine is not required for dogs 16 weeks and younger. My vet does not administer the rabies vaccine to dogs under 16 weeks, so my puppy hasn't received it yet. Since my dog is a standard poodle, she requires more frequent grooming due to the nature of her coat. As she's still a puppy, we're figuring out the right schedule for her grooming appointments. We were preparing to go out of town and she looked ready for grooming, so when we saw that Petco Verona had appointment availability on short notice, it seemed like a good option. Before making the appointment, I made sure she met Petco's vaccination requirements and had physical copies of her up-to-date records. I'm frustrated that I wasted my time preparing and taking my dog to the appointment, only to be turned away upon arrival due to the staff's lack of knowledge about their own company's policies.

They provide everything you need for the bath for just $10. The best part is you don't have to worry about cleaning up the mess, and there are vacuums so your car doesn't get the wet dog smell after. The staff is really friendly. They have events for pet adoption and services like nail-clipping regularly. I'm a big fan! I'm happy to have discovered it here.

I asked how far along she was thinking if she was wet or needed to be brushed I could do that at home. At that point I I found out she was in cage the entire two hours and not even started. He stated they were backed up but they were working on a dog in back to add insult to injury the person who came in behind me initially was picking up her dog. No excuse could be given to me why my dog was still in the cage not started since I purposely made her the first appointment of the day. I took my dog home without being groomed.I have used them previously feel this never should have happened they never even apologized just said have a nice day as I walked out what an insult. Would give them a zero.
