Only cares about money and way overcharges you. Treats you like a dollar sign and not a person. Kept trying to fraudulently charge my family even after we paid. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!

I stayed at ember Lodge for 3 months. During those 3 months I tried my best to succeed. The staff…read moreat ember Lodge are highly unqualified for the positions that they are in, especially the staff that is stationed there to watch over the girls throughout the day and night. They are just $10 employees who are looking for a job not necessarily there to help or give us good advice. Also, they popped me for cocaine on a drug test that I didn't touch and they refused to believe me and I think that they was working against me. I hate to say it but I've not touched a single drug in 5 years and they told me that I did. I think I would know. When I left Rebecca told me that I would amount to nothing and that I would relapse and end up back in the system once again. Well to her surprise I succeeded. I am 5 years clean and I have a full-time job live at my own place and pay all my bills. So in spite of Rebecca I succeeded. If you care about your loved one, send them somewhere better.

There's no activity or structure, basically just women lying around and sleeping all day. The house manager Regina has very little clean time and is absolutely horrible. She gossips about clients to other clients, disclosing personal and confidential information. She stirs up drama and has a new victim weekly. She's involved with a married man and just lies around all day complaining about clients, the house and it's owners. No one checks in on you or gives any direction which leads to constant chaos. Lastly, I would not recommend this program at all if you have a history of past trauma. It's a house full of entitled, snobby, high bottom alcoholics that don't tolerate anyone that is different or comes in with any difficulty. If Regina and her clones don't like you they simply toss you out. Don't cry, get angry or have any sort of emotions in this house or they will consider you an outcast and find ways to have you "transition out" as they call it. I relocated to Asheville to go to this house excited to start a new life and ended up with lower self esteem then before, a feeling of hopelessness which lead to me feeling discouraged about recovery and being sober in general. If you're not spoiled and rich, these women will treat you like trash and the owner is NEVER around or available. If you have any issues as we all do in early recovery, I would NOT recommend this house at all! I'm currently in another sober living that has drastically improved my life for half the price of cottage hill!

We hit it off immediately! She is so amazing and sweet. She made me feel so welcome and at home. I was nervous and a little scared about coming to sober living, but it has been such a blessing and an amazing experience. Ginger came by after work to meet me. She was amazing and so welcoming. Jenny and I went to a meeting last night. It was very good, and I picked up my 30 day key tag. The house itself is warm, cozy, and inviting. It feels like a home. Asheville is beautiful, and there are so many cool and eclectic things to enjoy and experience. I can't wait to begin Adventure Therapy, Art Therapy, and Yoga Therapy. I have already made contact and appointments with a local doctor. Ginger and Jenny are so knowledgeable about the area and making sure you have everything you need. I know God led me here, and this is where I am supposed to be. I am so grateful and excited about this new chapter in my recovery process. I am thankful to God for giving me a new family thanks to Ginger and Jenny. I am proud to be a participant and member of REAL Foundation.
