You may be wondering--did I ever tell management? At almost every opportunity. I told them about the beds, they said I was wrong. There was a roach problem initially, I told management and they fixed it. I told them about internet problems, and it was never fixed. I told them about neighbors filling up our trash so we had no space to put ours, no response. If you live here, you will get just that--No Response. If I was staying here for a day, it wouldn't have been so terrible. But there are so many housing options in Killeen, don't waste your time. If you are working for the Army, (even temporarily) don't stay here.

It feels like they care more about maintaining appearances than actually protecting their tenants. Residents deserve transparency and communication about safety issues, especially when it involves criminal activity on the property. Ignoring or silencing these concerns doesn't make the problem go away--it only makes tenants feel unheard and unsafe. I hope management takes security and community awareness more seriously moving forward.

After my husband received orders for us to leave the state, several staff at the front desk were not knowledgeable about apartment policy, the SCRA (Service members Civil Relief Act), and lacked customer service. Each time we visited the office we were told conflicting information (that we'd have to pay two months rent after moving out even though we were leaving on the 4th of the month, that the complex didn't prorate move outs and that it was illegal to do so despite being prorated during move in, and even being told we were 'lucky' they weren't charging us for our full 18-month lease despite having military orders) all sorts of things smh. Basically if you're military and need to break your lease here specifically with military orders, talk to someone in charge. After speaking with the property manager via email and phone, it was smooth sailing. Not sure what everyone else was talking about or why they were so rude and ill-informed but they made the process more difficult than it had to be and we almost had to get Army legal involved smh. So I'm guessing maintenance doesn't communicate with the front office when they need to enter your apartment, they just take their master key and go in and out as needed. The women that returned my phone call from the office was kinda rude and told me that they didn't have to tell me that maintenance was entering my apartment because it was an emergency. (It was so much of an emergency that the front office didn't even know about it) Then she followed up with if maintenance wasn't able to enter my apartment because we used the deadbolt, they would have charged ME for any damages that occurred. Then she said, but somebody was in the apartment, so basically what's the problem? You cannot consider a child as "someone" that is capable of letting a grown adult inside of an apartment while they are home alone. My child does not know this man. Anything could've happened. If that's their policy, I guess we can't do anything to change it. I just wanted to give parents a heads up. Or any single woman that would have a problem to waking up with a man standing in your kitchen for an emergency. With the world being so trigger happy, you would think they'll have a policy of courtesy calls. Other than that it's a nice place.

DO NOT RENT HERE!!!…read more If I could give zero stars, I would. Our experience at East Gate Ridge Apartments has been nothing but a nightmare from start to finish. When we moved in, the apartment was filthy--it was clear no proper cleaning had been done before we arrived. Soon after, we discovered water damage and mold, which we had to beg management multiple times to address. When they finally did, it was nothing more than a sloppy patch job, leaving us to deal with ongoing issues. When it came time to move out, we were forced to break our lease early due to my disability and pregnancy. Despite this, the landlord refused to waive the fee, showing zero compassion or understanding. We then paid out of pocket for professional cleaning and carpet cleaning, only to still be charged for cleaning and carpet cleaning fees anyway--a blatant scam to take more money from tenants. To make matters worse, they are now trying to charge us for repairs on damages that were already there when we moved in. Throughout our tenancy, the landlord was consistently rude and dismissive towards me, but oddly treated my husband completely differently--a clear sign of unprofessionalism and bias. Save yourself the stress, the money, and the frustration. This place is a scam, the management is incompetent, and they will nickel and dime you for everything they can. Rent somewhere else!

It has holes along the back that extend several inches into the foundation of multiple apartments. They smell like rotten eggs poop and weed. The holes that is. We also had a dishwasher clip that broke while we lived there. We called maintenance and they did not pay their phone line the number we were given in our contract to contact maintenance came up as a expired magic jack phone line that needs service renewed. On top of that we had pet deposits that I have proof of paying. They said we did not have a pet deposit or a security deposit. False and a PayPal screenshot that I have with their company as the recipient of said money as proof. They also complained about the apartment being dirty but we cleaned it spotless when we left. They did an inspection 3-4 weeks after we left and said it was dirty. The convenience of this place to the East gate of fort hood is NOT worth it. With gunshots being heard multiple times a week because it's on rancier. To on New Years 2020 our upstairs neighbor was stabbed. Not a safe neighborhood. Bad management Very 2 faced. But if all you need is convenience it's very close to the gate where Vanessa guillen protests go on.
