I had the unfortunate circumstance of eating food out of the case at the Flying J in Texarkana,Arkansas. I had the Biscuits n Gravy or what I will now refer to them as Botulism and Grotesque. I mean I can't refer to them as anything else. I left Texarkana, Arkansas in a rush thus the reason for the Grab n Go from the food case. By the time I reached Arkadelphia,Arkansas I was on the off ramp experiencing violent projectile vomiting due to this food. I'm not a Doctor, Virologist or Food Inspector but also not an idiot. I was feeling fine until my unexpected misfortune. This continued throughout the day. I seriously contemplated legal action against Berkshire Hathaway, FJ Management and Jimmy Haslam the owners. My advice is to stay far, far away. This location seriously needs a food inspection. You would have got safer foods from a cart with a vendor who had the black plague during the Dark Ages...

My cashier was very nice and worked efficiently to get through the line of customers. I appreciated that I was able to grab some of my favorite snacks and then get back on the road quickly. There were several grassy areas where I could let my dog stretch his legs and there were always people around so I felt pretty safe as a solo traveller. First off, they have 3…read morefuel islands for trucks closed so one employee can literally play on his phone and pretend to spray the water once in a while, I've been here for over an hour and he's still messing around, causing 45+ minute wait to fuel, having 3-4 trucks ahead of you. Second, because their washer and dryer wasn't working, they closed down the laundry room, for at least 2 days that I am aware of. It's the weekend, when most drivers do laundry. Third, the god awful country music is soo LOUD it literally gave me a headache after a few minutes. The shower had no door lock and it was obvious that the damage to the door was done because it was broken into. I was very uncomfortable taking a shower with the door like that. Overall I give this loves a -10. Get it together loves. Drivers depend on you for a plethora of reasons. I'm extremely disappointed and quite honestly disgusted by this location. What's the big deal. In the end my recommendation has been, always, that getting gas here is a good idea because it's so cheap - although there are even cheaper places around town if you look around. It's right next to a Whataburger so if you want to get fat and get gas at the same time you're in luck.
