Convenience stores are typically a treasure trove for low rent demographics- you know, those that spend their entire disposable income on quick "to go" comfort items, such as: 22 oz. Dr. Pepper bottles, cigarettes, chew, bags of chips, and candy. Oh wait, don't forget the lottery tickets, and scratch offs, as well.
For me, I generally only stop at joints like these to fill up my tank. I don't buy candy, lottery tickets, or other items of waste, unless it's beer, or wine. With this said, Hillbilly Hangout is a great store to stop in for a quick sixer, or bottle of vino. Seriously, who the hell would ever imagine that a gas station, in Flint, Texas, of all places, would have such an impressive selection of beer, and wine. It almost doubles as a second store.
Colorful patrons, friendly employees, and a damn good spot to pick of a six pack of Porter, or a IPA. For that, Hillbilly Hangout gets 4 stars.
