Council and health services work alongside each other within this centre something I have never seen anywhere before. If you're waiting to see someone about any of the community services, you take a numbered ticket from a dispenser and wait until called over to one of the windows at the large table over on the right. Unfortunately there are no chairs so you'll have to stand.
Beyond this area, there is a separate reception desk for people wanting to visit a doctor, nurse or therapist. Here you can queue to speak to the receptionist or, if you have an appointment, you can check yourself in using a touch-screen on the wall (it's very easy add date of birth and touch buttons 'yes' or 'no' to get confirmation. It will also state if there is a delay).
Everyone seems really friendly and helpful here, from the receptionists to the doctors and nurses. It's a clean and spacious modern building with a seating area where you can read a magazine and wait your turn. There's a large free car park right outside too. read more
