I just got back from what was one of the best salon experiences I have had, ever. I will be back in…read more6-8 weeks, and I will gladly fork over £99(VAT increase has now bumped my set of services to £104) again. and here is why I would part with a chunk of money that would normally make me cringe and cry over it being spent at a salon I was greeted when I entered. My stylist, Rachel Caton, sat down with me and gave me a long consultation and she listened to what I was saying and gave me my options(you know the in between conundrum, grow it out, or cut it off). This seems terribly hard to find in London, as I hear from friends all the time about how hairdressers can't communicate or listen well. That is not the case at Hair Organics. I had both a color and a cut. Before my service started I was offered a beverage and brought a whole pot of tea with milk and sugar and a biscuit! It was such a lovely touch compared to a mug and a teabag. The collar of my shirt was protected, and my cape had sleeves so I could read and fiddle with my phone during the process without worry of getting color on myself. Which wouldn't have been a concern anyway, as she applied the color with expertise and was very neat during the process. While my color(no odor, no itchy/burning scalp, they use professional herbal/mineral based hair color, mind you) processed, I got to people watch a bit in the salon. The staff here seems to have a great working relationship and it shows. This makes the atmosphere very comfortable, and welcoming. When time came to remove my color, I was so pleased with the service and facilities. Reclining, massage chairs and comfortable sinks mean you're not getting a crick in your neck while having a shampoo. Also, with color services, they do a PH balancing rinse to close the cuticle, and I also received an avocado oil conditioning treatment. I'll assume that these are built into the price of the color, as I wasn't charged for them individually. But it was such a nice touch, and smelled divine. My head massage was lovely. and I sat back down in her chair with no stains on my skin. This is a big pet peeve of mine. and it was so nice to leave looking and feeling so fresh and so clean clean. (You know you love Outkast. Don't deny.) Rachel knew what she was doing. I watched her cut and style my hair, and she showed a great understanding of what I wanted, and explained what she was doing through the whole process. At the end of my 2 hour pampering, I left with a fantastic haircut and color, and was dry, and hair free. No one likes to leave with a damp shirt collar or with hair all down their back, and that has happened to me on more than one occasion with other salons. The salon itself is warm and modern with loads of natural light. It is uncluttered, for all the senses, which I didn't realize until the very end of my time there. No stylist stations overflowing with product, no loud or inappropriate music. It is a very calming environment, and the artwork they have up is minimal and hair centered. and it's super close to Notting Hill Gate station. Take exit 3 from the tube and you'll be heading in the right direction. I could seriously do cartwheels all the way down the street, I'm so happy.

I looked good walking out of the shop. I would go back to Hair Organics if the prices weren't so high. (over £100 for half head of highlights)

I came in for a relaxer NOT texturiser but I left with texlaxed/ very under processed hair so now my hair is two textures which is difficult to manage as I didn't want transitioning hair. The hair cutting is terrible too. I showed Talisha a pucture of ME with my hair in a layered bob and said I just wanted a TRIM not a cut. She lobbed half the hair off in one big move and left me with the ugliest, crude blunt cut that she had the nerve to call a bob. Icing on the cake: I had to pay £80 for this monstrosity and in hindsight I'm kicking myself for paying. It will take me 6 months to grow this out as well which sucks. For hair that's not in the texture or style you want: go here by all means!

Loved this salon, and my stylist Hannah - great blonde highlights, great cut (on medium curly…read morehair), reasonable prices, and great service from start-to-finish! Booking experience - as an expat living in Singapore traveling to the UK for an occasion, I booked online via the Yelp appointment messaging function. It was my first time using this feature, and I was so happy with the experience. The salon was so responsive (living up to their 100% responsiveness rate), which made it really easy for me to book even with timezones and my busy Pre-travel schedule. I even booked in my boyfriend (who was traveling from the US) for an appointment! The service - from start to finish, everyone I interacted with at the salon was incredibly nice and respectful, both to the customers and each other which made for a great experience. They also had me come in a day early to test the toner for allergies, which showed me the level of care/thought they put in, and I was able to align on the plan for my hair with my fabulous stylist Hannah. It was clear from that convo that Hannah knows what she's doing with blonde highlights AND curly hair - I always ask for recommendations from my stylists (trust the experts!) without me even telling her, she did exactly as I have had done by my hair stylist in the US who had been doing my hair for 5+ years: a mix of blondes to give dimension, extra of the light blonde and layers around my face to frame it, and some light layers in the back for crown volume. The color/cut - Hannah did a fantastic job with both! The color turned out amazingly natural looking, just the right level warmth, and some shine (which is difficult to get with my dry curly hair). The layers at the face were exactly the angle I like them, and I can see a slight difference in crown volume from the layers in the back. The price - for the level of service and quality of cut/color, the prices were very reasonable! I had gone to a much more expensive salon in London over the holidays, as I was nervous about a bad result (charging £60 for a blow out, which I was surprised to find wasn't included in the cut and color), and found that I like my hair from Feel just as much as that salon and actually preferred the service of Feel (much warmer and more personal). Oh and my Boyfriend (who has Long curly hair) also had a great experience with the salon and his stylist, Tom - and was pleasantly surprised at how affordable the salon was! Overall, thanks Feel Hairdressers, Hannah, and Tom for a great experience, and great hair! Hope to see you again soon :)

I found Headmasters through yelp and they looked to have good reviews. I didn't need anything fancy, so I was OK with having anyone at a decent salon cut my hair. I arrived right when they opened on a Sunday in hopes that no one booked an appointment first thing in the morning. When I arrived, I asked the young man working there if they accepted walk-ins - yes; is anyone available now? - no; Ok, is there any availability later today? - maybe; Do you know around what time maybe? - 3pm, but I'm not sure; Alright, should I just come back after 3 or can I book something now? - I don't know, they'll probably be all booked by then. At this point I just walked away, they obviously didn't want my business. I understand I'm a walk-in so can't get preferential treatment over their customers with an appointment, and I get that I have no idea of how busy they are. But he already told me there might be an opening after a certain time and didn't bother to check who was free, thus not allowing my any services. This is at 9am, he literally just opened the doors to the shop, and no other customers were there. If you're fully booked, just say you're fully booked. I can understand that. Again, I can't attest to how they do hair as I wasn't even given the opportunity to even get my foot through the door. One star for the bad service by the front desk. I know this doesn't change much for their regular customers, but hopefully new customers can bring their business some where they are wanted.
