While I likely pulled something while lifting at the gym, it was really the accumulation of a number of things, over years, that were working against me. Dr. Lou took the time to explain what was likely going on, shared educational videos, and we discussed a treatment plan. He encouraged me to email or text him with questions/updates/concerns, and each time I reached out, he took the time to send a thoughtful reply. It took a couple of months of weekly appointments, taking a break from playing, doing the prescribed exercises, and honestly, a positive attitude (which came and went at times), but I am finally out gigging again, and without pain! During our last visit, I brought my guitar and we went over my form. He suggested some very minor adjustments to my posture that could help me avoid future injuries. Priceless.
