Her passion for teaching and genuine care for the children shone through in every interaction. My son adored her, and it was evident that she had a positive impact on his learning journey. Her ability to engage and connect with the children was remarkable. Another highlight of the class was Miss Sotiria's mother, Miss Christine. Both of them were such warm and caring individuals who genuinely cared about each child's well-being. Their dedication to the children's happiness and progress was evident, and it created a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere. Christos was also just a gem of a human. He always responded to my emails promptly, and answered my in-person questions with a smile. I have nothing but fantastic things to say about Ume Ume. We will be re-enrolling our son for this coming fall, and I can't wait to enroll my younger daughter there next year!

Anesha, Sandra, Ana Maria, Rosa, Lorenza, and the entire staff are amazing people that care and love the children. They do fun activities including artwork and water play. But at Little Hands and Feet, she had gained so many people who loved on her, she was learning a lot, and getting a lot of attention. On her birthday they even threw her a big party. It's affordable, has flexible hours/schedules for full and part time, great communication from all the warm and nurturing director & office manager & teachers, a great play & learn schedule tailored to each class/age group, and a clean and loving environment. You can really see the love of teaching and working with children from the caring staff. They are currently gearing up for the free Pre-K program, are licensed, all the employees are background checked and accredited. They take great precautions to clean, sanitize all surfaces and toys, and send home notices to parents/caregivers. They encourage parent/caregiver involvement, are gentle in discipline practices and resolutions, offer connections to developmental therapy services for children needing it, and care for your child with respect to how you do things at home. They offer flexible payment schedules as well as payment methods. I know that if someone had some real constructive criticism or needed a solution, the administration would be open to hearing it and working with someone who is unhappy to make that turn around. My advice: GO SEE THIS SCHOOL AND MEET THE STAFF FOR YOURSELF! You'll definitely be glad you did :)

My wife and I had two kids attend Sunset Park Children's School from 2014 to 2015, until they sent…read moreus a 2-week notice telling us that they no longer had room them. A total of five families - that I know of - were "let go" from the school because the management was pushing out full-tuition paying kids to make space for government-assisted kids. During the 14 months our kids attended Sunset Park Children's School, our overall experience with the care takers was mostly positive, despite the 30-40% turnover rate. The teachers had a number of activities that our children enjoyed, and there was a good emphasis on playing outdoors and reading. As for the management, I have zero positive things to say, since they are one of the worst communicators I've ever seen. Both teachers and parents complained about management and were constantly fed-up with poor administration of policies, rules, rates, payments, etc. Since entire daycare is in the basement of a church, with small windows in two of the four areas, it's not the best physical environment for young children to spend most of their days, especially in the winter time when going outdoors is not an option. Sunset Park still lacking in high-quality childcare options, you may be better off trekking your children up north to Park Slope or down south to Bay Ridge.

When we arrived there was no one to greet us and we had to ask around the building about any contact for DEA... we were able to speak to the owner of Eye Level who is located downstairs and he was very helpful and was apologetic about our appointment not being met. The owner of Eye Level said the owner wasn't answering her cell phone or the office line therefore he wasn't sure what to do but apologize... I left expecting an apologetic call from anyone at DEA, instead I get a TEXT about A FEW DAYS LATER saying they were it was for another Saturday and they didn't confirm the date. NO SORRY was included in that text. I forgave the situation as I know life throws us lemons and said ok no problem and rescheduled the trial for the following Thursday evening.... My daughter was welcomed formally and the instructor even let me other two younger sons in the trial class with them which I loved. Afterwards there was again no one to speak with about what the trial was about, I had to go to the receptionist and ask all the questions and mainly see if there was any selling information for me to try to get my children into any of the performing arts programs... The receptionist "Francesca" at first didn't want me to take the registration paper home to consider enrolling my children, I had to ask for a pen/pencil, then let she let me keep the paper and had me write all the pricing and then said I can think about it and she would call me in 1-2 days to follow-up. Well, it's been two weeks and I haven't heard anything. I liked the school atmosphere however the front office service was very unaccommodating for any person who wanted to generally inquire about the school. There were no printed marketing materials for take-home and no follow-up calls. I was considering sending my daughter to this school and even my son because I liked the benefit of working with children in regards to performing arts however for the price and the lack of organization I'd rather look into other options.
