I took my designer leather jacket for dry cleaning. He advised that it would cost 70 dollars. As it was an expensive jacket he assured me that this was a very good dry cleaning service and it would be worth it. What a mistake!!!
I wish I had seen the prior review prior to taking in my jacket. When I went to pick it up I looked at it and noticed that there was still marks left on the jacket and the collar had somehow been stretched out, the back of the jacket was buckling weirdly and it looked different shades! When I pointed it out, assuming he would say not to worry we will resend it. He started yelling at me! I couldn't believe it! He didn't even want to hear it. He started slamming the counter and I asked him repeatedly to please stop yelling and discuss it. When I went to hang it up, he started pulling on the jacket, screaming I had to pay! Of course I was going to pay. What am I, a criminal? I waived my debit card and said I will pay but he better take his hands off my jacket, crunching it up. I told him I would call the police if he did not stop yelling at me. He didn't care. I paid for my jacket and told him I would be contacting the better business bureau and whom I ever I could. I asked him whether he thought 70 dollars was cheap and that the coat should be dry cleaned properly,( actually I'm afraid it won't go back to normal), he said he didn't care. Too bad.
I left, I called my husband who took my coat back. When my husband went in, he for someone reason was not as brave and did not yell but would not listen to him and proceeded to go to the back of the store. My husband asked him if he was yelling at me, his wife, he proceeded to ignore him and then say if we needed help we should call the place where he sent it. My husband told him he was to call. He did so reluctantly. I need to bring the coat back there, which I'm afraid to do. I'm going to call the place he sent it myself, but I do not believe it will be fixed.
The point is that this man is verbally abusive to women and doesn't treat women with respect. He should not be allowed to own a business and I will be contacting the Brooklin /Whitby Business Bureau. I cannot believe that this man felt that it was o.k. to be verbally abusive to women, and not care that he literally was screaming and slamming his hands down on the table trying to intimidate me. I'm happy to see the prior complaint as it validates what I'm saying.
I don't care about the $70, because a $800 jacket has pretty much been ruined.
He is a thief and should be closed down!!!!! read more
