Beautiful Doodles and Retrievers. I have two of their Doodles and they are the most loving, well trained pups.

Such a nice experience with Bella! Our goldendoodle is our first puppy, the first for my daughter…read more The process was easy to follow, very detailed and comprehensive - i.e. we had to commit to getting training and we watched her process videos and suggestions - but this all speaks to Janelle's commitment to us and her pups. She is not going to let just anyone get a puppy, she wants them to have the best home. Communication was key. Being new to this or any puppy adoption, we had many, many texts between us so I never felt abandoned in the process. As our pup was available right away and we live in the Rochester area, we started talking on Saturday and had our lil girl on Monday! Big Thank You to Janelle for her wonderful breeding and adoption process!

After a very long time of researching breeders I decided that Janelle Cole at bellaminidoodles.com…read moreseemed like the best fit to work with. I found a beautiful puppy listed on the website " Fushia Girl " a mini goldendoodle i spoke to Jenelle 3 times before purchasing. She sent me the invoice for 3,900.00. Once I paid in full she texted me not thanking me for the payment but to complain she forgot to add on the $110.00 processing fee she gets charged when one uses a credit card. Although this was settled once she realized her error Jenelle advised she would pay for this fee along with the " training the pup received " I selected a pick up date see her website she charges $550.00 for pick up in Lee Massachusetts. Once a delivery date was set I received another text from Jenelle advising me to bring $675.00 in cash for the delivery driver. Big difference $550.00 to $675.00. I arrived early that day to pick up the puppy, no delivery company existed it was just her son. I pay the $675.00 was handed the pup and drove home the 2 hours. When finally was getting settled at home I noticed I was given the wrong dog. I also must add this pup was so shaggy, messy, matted and poor thng couldn't see with the amount of hair covering the eyes. I brought the pup to TWO pet specialists and was told this dog is NOT a Pure Goldendoodle this is closer to a Poddle. I contacted Jenelle Cole that same night at 732pm via text, expressed my concern to Jenelle Cole. Radio Silent, No Text, No Phone Call nothing. The next day at 130 pm I finally connected with Jenelle Cole owner of Bellaminidoodles.com. The reply I received " anyone who is not happy with the puppy they receive I always tell them to bring the puppy back to me " I remind her I live in Massachusetts and she lives in Rochester NY a 938 miles round trip. That day I spend 2 hours researching flight nanny, delivery companies, private flights out of the Beverly ma airport, thought about renting a car, looked into taking a bus to NY so many ideas but every idea I had and looked into would cost $650.00 at minimum to get the pup returned to NY. I finally decided I would drive my own car that is a lease to NY. I reached back out to Janelle and ask her if she would kindly return my $675.00 cash from the pick up delivery and I Will agree to drive the pup I have back to her home in Rochester NY. Her reply " I am not paying one penny for your expense to bring the pup back to me this is your responsibility " Text me when you are on your way, and hangs up on the phone on me. The next day at 4:42 am I got in the car and drove to NY. I arrived at 12:35 pm returned the pup back to Jenelle Cole. She begged me not to post any reviews. She asked me if I thought she was being fair I replied NO but showed zero compassion. All I wanted and still want is the delivery fee of $675.00 returned to me. Note again her sketchy website says her delivery fee to pick-up a pup is $550.00 so why was I was charged $675.00 is wild. I returned home that same night at 920pm. I drove 987 miles, drove a total of 14 hours, spent $140.00 on gas in one day a big loss for me. The next day Jenelle Cole texted me showing me pictures of the pup all well groomed saying she has been adopted for $3400. I submitted a complaint with the Attorney general office in NY thankfully they have a Lemon Law for Dogs. Waiting for the outcome, I just want my refund. #1 pic is the dog I purchased, #2 & 3rd picture is how I received the pup, shaggy, messy and not the same dog. Lastly her pups are not " Trained " so please beware and no I do not recommend bellaminidoodles.com. They advertise Goldendoodles but are selling Poodles. Note multiple negative reviews posted on bellaminidoodles.com most concerning her last positive review is not recent dated back to 2019. Could be family or friends posting a positive review.

Here's why: Erika, the owner, takes the time to learn about each prospective rider before you come so she can pair you with the perfect horse. So be sure and take the time to let them know in the online questionnaire how you are with horses and riding. I'm a confident rider and got a great horse for me where my husband isn't as confident rider and he was paired with a sweet easy going horse, Faye. Actually all the horses are sweet and wonderful. We did a one hour trail ride. The trail was fun - not too challenging and we even got to stop by a beautiful creek so the horses could take a drink. It's absolutely magical & no better way to see the beauty of this region. Now the horses: They are all beautiful, very healthy and thus happy. You can get to know them on the Painted Bar Stables website! Many are rescued and have been revitalized by being in this wonderful place. I can't wait to return.

She had a wealth of knowledge and several degrees in horses related fields. We went on a one hour trail ride and now knowing what I know, I would definitely have upgraded to the 1.5-hour trail ride. It was such a fun experience! I hadn't been on a horse in years and had only ridden a horse maybe three times in my life, so you don't have to be a knowledgeable rider by any means. The horses were so gentle and already knew the route they were taking. If I lived closer, I would have loved to sign up for classes here. I highly recommend this is a great activity to anyone traveling this way. We loved it.

Flowers were planted everywhere. You can see a big metal heart, a gigantic cow, and signs for the petting zoo and the farm walk. We started inside. When you first walk in you are greeted by the gift shop. Lots of fun things here. My daughter of course was totally entranced by this part of our adventure! Then we started with small animals. We saw bunnies, rats, ferrets, and turtles. They all seemed content and well cared for. Everything looked and smelled clean. They had hammocks, toys, food and water, and space to play. The kitties were next. Though the cages are always smaller than you'd like to see due to necessity, almost all of the them had a box, a bed, and a litter box, and quite a few were doubles that had places to climb, toys, and "privacy" visors for kitties who just wanted to nap in peace. There were a couple of larger rooms with cat towers and other fun things for free roam time and visitors! We saw the dogs last. There weren't too awful many, and most of the rooms were signed "staff only". So that part was a little bit disappointing. I would have loved to have a little more interaction with the pups! We wandered outside after that to scope out the petting zoo, which was closed at the time of our visit, and then the farm trail. We LOVED this part, as we got to see horses, cows, pigs, and ostriches! There was also a really beautifully done pet cemetery, complete with "rainbow bridge". If you're an animal person this really tugs at those heartstrings. You know what I'm talking about! The whole farm trail was just so beautifully done and well maintained. And it made for a decent walk, too! On our way back to the parking lot we saw some other things that caught our eye, like sidewalks bricks that were laid "in memory". Right next door is a playground, too! Absolutely 100% recommend for pet adoption, volunteering, or if you are just looking for a fun place to meander like we were.

Beware of this breeder! The breeder was extremely difficult when I contacted her a few months after…read moreI got my Toy Aussie and he was showing signs of fear and aggression. She was very defensive and blamed me for his condition. At the time, she said she didn't believe in socialization for puppies because they needed to exposure to your environment not hers. I have it in an email she sent me! That was my first RED FLAG. I challenged her on this as a long time dog owner who had trained 5 dogs previously. She later added Puppy Culture to her program after our conversations. I hired a dog psychologist to examine the dog and I was warned that I would always have problems with the dog if I kept him. Further conversations with Shawna, I made plans to meet to return the dog, without refunding my money. I noticed a certain coldness in her when asked what would happen to the dog, I feared she would have him destroyed or that he might not make it back to the kennel. She wanted to meet my on a highway and send a friend to get him. Fearing more for the puppy than the effect this emotionally disabled dog would have on my life I ended up keeping him. I hired 5 different trainers in NY and Los Angeles. I made progress, it was mostly I learned how to handle his triggers. I was now living with special needs dog with fear based aggression. He is a beautiful dog, he only likes me and has to be put in a crate in another room when people come over to my home. The reason I wanted an Aussie was so he could go hiking and walk with me. I wanted an active dog but he can't do that either because he is easily triggered while on the leash by other dogs. He lunges at other dogs if I am not 100% vigilate to prevent it. He is full of fear walking around, he never relaxes. He is unable to abide that other dogs live in the building and is highly aggressive to any dog in the elevator or in the lobby. I have to steer him around other dogs to avoid any contact. Owning this dog is one of the worst mistakes I have ever made. As a long time dog owner and lover of animals, I have spared no expense in normalizing this dog to live his best life. Unfortunately, I have had numerous wrist injuries to my right hand, sprains and torn ligaments from holding the leash when he lunges. After 8 years, I am done. I can no longer do this, with the hand injuries and disruption to my life as Shawna would say - we are not a good fit! I told Shawna the kind of dog I needed for my lifestyle and she said this dog would be perfect. Something happened to this dog at an early age, or he received some bad genes. All the dog trainers I hired said the same thing, he was a very difficult case. It is unconscionable how this breeder operates. I would never have tried to return a dog if there wasn't a enormous issue at stake. A year of so later, she just told me to call a Aussie rescue organization, that I didn't have to return the dog to her as it says in the contract. Read these words as a warning. Perhaps Shawna has learned more about dog breeding and training now. However as a business person she is ruthless and I don't believe she has the dog's best interest at heart. You do not want this same experience, be very careful where you get a dog, even if the dog is beautiful or cute. I made the effort to go the kennel, I met the dogs and Shawna in person before I bought my dog. It has been a terrible experience.

I had held off submitting this last year but now that I see they are breeding and selling pups from…read moreSummer, I felt it right to post this for awareness. I am concerned with the ethics of a breeder who is knowingly further breeding a dog that has in fact produced offspring with severe hip dysplasia. Below is the original I was going to post... Make sure you read and understand the details of the contract! We purchased 2 puppies from Shawna from different litters in Sep/Oct '23. The pups are absolutely adorable, good demeanor and intelligent. The black tri is Harvey and he's a little mischievous and gets into things but is a really good dog. The red merle is Knox (named after the Buffalo Bill's Dawson Knox) and has an awesome personality and a deep voiced bark. After about 6 months (Apr '24), we noticed that Knox was favoring his right back leg and was doing 'bunny hops'. We took him to our vet to find out that they thought he had a severe case of hip dysplasia, which is quite unusual in small breed dogs. We contacted Shawna immediately about it and she responded in 2 days stating that she's never had this happen before, but its unpredictable and she can only do her due diligence. We had stated that we wanted to keep him and she offered $500 back if we wanted to keep him. So, we made an appt with Cornell University to have him evaluated...and we had to wait until Aug '24 to get into the specialist. The doctor at Cornell stated that Knox has genetic Hip Dysplasia on both sides, with the right side being very bad...the left is probably good enough to let it be. The doctor also advised we contact the breeder and make sure the parents do not breed together again (Sire is Jager, Dame is Summer). We forwarded the report to Shawna and did not hear back from her after reaching out several times until mid-October. We fell in love with Knox and didn't want him to suffer, nor be taken from our lives...we decided that we are going ahead with the surgery. So, we did some research, got some legal advice and asked Shawna to reimburse us up to the cost of the puppy for medical expenses due to this genetic defect...as seems typical for reputable breeders and quite frankly fair to us as we're going to incur many $1000's above to help this wonderful animal. Shawna refused and said the only way we could get our money back was if we returned the dog to her as per the contract. I asked what would happen to him if I returned him, and that if she didn't answer I assume he would be put down immediately...no answer there. Well, we're going ahead with the surgery despite any help from Shawna. I asked her to reconsider her position on this and show some compassion for the dog and situation, but she is taking a hard line on the contractual words...and that's where we stand today. We were willing to take on the lion share of the expenses but she got us with the contact technicalities. We're still going to do good by Knox and provide him with the best life we can. His surgery is scheduled for late Dec '24. Added 7/5/2025 - copy of the contract with parents listed as proof/evidence. And an update that Knox is doing absolutely great with his titanium hardware, our bank account is about $12k lighter, and he and Harvey are awesome little pups!
