Received an email from Matthew P. right after placing my order notifying me of the milling defects on the frame on the best one they had in stock (with pictures attached in an email from him), and wanted to know how I'd like to proceed. I notified Springfield Armory about the issue and the firearm in question was sent back to S.A. (before heading my way). Matthew spoke with my wife and took care of the defective SA-35 being sent to Springfield Armory immediately. I called S.A. every week they had it for updates, and they decided to replace the SA-35 in question and send it back to Grady's and then to my FFL. Once received at Grady's, Matthew made a point to get my SA-35 from the loading dock the day it arrived at Grady's, looked it over for any issues, and immediately sent it to my FFL next day air after giving it a thumbs up. Matthew P. went above and beyond in customer service to ensure this customer was accommodated (being a disabled veteran on a limited income). I can't say thank you enough to Matthew P. for all he did to have a happy customer!

For the last 30 years doing this has served me well, I have received great advice. Then I visited this location. I told the Fishing Manager, Susie that I wanted to find some trout and needed some advice. She said that she would give me locations to fish for warm water species because it is too hot to handle trout. Apparently fishing managers can implement hoot owl restrictions! Daytime highs during my visit are in the 70's. The state of North Carolina has no issue with me fishing, I don't see why Orvis' own gatekeeper to trout fishing should. I thought trout fishing should be encouraged? She eventually said "just fish the Davidson" offering no other details or recommendations. I found a great local fly shop that told me specific places to fish, recommended flies, and provided far better customer service than Orvis Asheville was willing to provide. There are multiple local shops to choose from. This review is specific to Orvis Asheville. I have only received great products and service from literally every other location.
