I was looking to get custom license plate and the gentleman at counter 9 made everything super easy and friendly. He gladly answered all my questions and helped through the process. I was out of the place in 40 min. The only small nit picky thing would be that we did not know which area to select for custom license plate and still went ahead with Title change which was fortunately the right thing but I hope they can update this for the future. Additionally, they have a kiosk to get TAG renewal in case someone wants it there.

That said, I needed to go to apply to get my property tax reduced. It's set up like the DMV: you take a number from a machine and they call you to one of the windows. In 10 minutes they called my number. The woman who waited on me was serious, thorough and efficient. She needed my wife's and my identification, car registration, and social security numbers. She could not have been more helpful. I was done maybe 25 minutes from walking in the door. And I got an exemption on the assessment of my house. That means I pay less!

We were in Buckhead to eat at King + Duke which was a wonderful meal BTW. We head back to the parking lot afterward to find my friend's brand new Audi SUV was broken into and his laptop case with 2 laptops in it missing. The police came out within minutes after the call ran prints on the car and were super courteous. Will upgrade to 5 stars if they can find the culprit...

Right in the heart of Marietta is this great venue, Cobb County Civic Center. It's not too large,…read moreit is wheelchair accessible, has an elevator inside, and parking is free. The entrance fee depends on the event that is going on. The parking lot is large so you can just park outside the venue and walk into the building. Through the years, I have attended, Gem Shows, International Festivals, Christmas Markets and Gun Shows. The venue is just right size for me, and not too large, so you do not have to wear yourself out by walking miles in a huge Exchibition Hall like the Omni in Atlanta. There are two levels inside. Sometimes the exhibitors are presenting their products in both stories. Other times, like the last Expo I attended had vendors only on the bottom floor. This is an older building but still well maintained and clean. There are restrooms upstairs and downstairs, you just have to look for them. Of course, how much you will enjoy the event you are attending depends on your interests and the organisors. I would highly recommend this place. There has always been Cobb County police present for security.

Fast, courteous and painless…read more We all expect long delays dealing with any level of government. I can't tell y'all how pleased I was with the service at the Fulton County licensing office. We were in an out in 45 minutes. First the spoiler: my sweetie and I are getting married! We filled out the marriage license application in advance, printed it and brought it with us. You can make an appointment, but t=none available so we just just turned up. We found street parking about a block away. Security protocols were efficient. We waited about 15 minutes and everything was done in maybe 15 minutes. Kudos to Ms. Mathis, the customer service representative, and the cashier, Mr. Rosser. Both were super efficient, courteous and very nice. And both congratulated us. We left with the marriage license for the judge who will officiate at our wedding. She signs it after the ceremony and mails it to the Fulton County License Office. They then record the marriage and send us the signed, sealed marriage certificate. So here's the weird, only-in-Georgia part of the experience. You apply for marriage licenses and permits to carry a concealed weapon at the same office. I guess you could even apply for both at the same time -- if you were so inclined.

If you go down by the court house you will see some of these sheriff's clearly braking the law as…read morethey feel it dose not apply to them, I seen a sheriff park completely on the sidewalk for at least 10 mins while he went inside to get fans and put the in the back seat of his car (have it on video) left the sidewalk completely block the whole time with nobody out there directing people or traffic so if someone in a wheelchair or some kids were walking they would have to risk going into the road to get around the sheriff's car park in a sidewalk! Then all day long multiple sheriffs parked in the turn lane all day long the turn lane was big a turn lane but parking spot for sheriff's, I stop one leaving and asked him if I could park there he said no I asked why he could park there he claimed he was on official police business bring paperwork to court unfortunately I don't have the video when he walk in but I am pretty sure he had no paperwork in his hand, then the next guy parked there in his personal car in regular clothes and left it there for hours have all this on video as well. If the sheriff department feels that those should be parking spaces instead of a turn lane (as it was parking spots all day long could not be used as a turn lane all day they should take that up with the county not illegal park and believe they are above the law and don't have to follow it like the rest of us.
