I've been going to them for years. Yes,there have been some changes but I have never had a problem. Staff has always been professional and good. Dr's accommodating and seem very honest in their communication and diagnosis. I am disabled and asked for a Reasonable Accommodation to help me stay in my home comfortably and was denied so now I will lose my housing again soon and go homeless. They don't care. I was angrily told not to call back about the RA request The office manager Amanda Brasky said she refused and said don't call back to ask again I called back and was told she left for the day and that doctors left and that I'm not getting a RA I have been discriminated against They are open till 7 and I suggest you find healthcare elsewhere as this is 1 star treatment. If I could have left zero I would have. Very unprofessional staff and office manager. I recommend people find another practice. I had a doctor who just up and left. The next one told me he couldn't bill for prescribing me an antibiotic for an infected tooth and then told me not to go to the ER either. Idiot didn't understand the concept of not being able to afford a dentist. Ever. Then proceeded to tell me he couldn't prescribe an antibiotic for a bladder infection. I saw two Dr there. The first one did not have all my medical records. But he had the nerve without knowing me to say I was addicted to everything. I have been on disability for 10 years and nothing has changed. I asked the management to five me a new Dr. and it was a woman. She was nicer but started in on me about certain meds again i take. She wouted studies that weren't accurate. I looked them up. They don't listen there. I would advise to not go there if you have a issues at all. Plus all she wanted to do was test test and test just because I am on medicare. read more

I have been coming to this practice for over 10 years so I am very disappointed with what I am about to write. I have a medical exemption for wearing a mask which was signed by a doctor. Brookfield Family Medicine is refusing me service unless I wear a mask. This is medical discrimination and I will be finding a new primary care doctor. read more

Been seeing Dr. Mascia for almost two decades for my health care. If this review was solely based on him, it would be 5 stars. The WHOLE rest of the office (Admin staff, nurses, other doctors) are just completely awful, rude, and inconsiderate. After having to see a nurse practitioner named Jessica Staletto recently on short notice, I've decided to stop coming to this place. Made me wait forever, then just rushed me out the door in 5 minutes with none of my questions answered. Feels like this place went downhill after it joined Western Connecticut Medical Group. There are better offices in the area for you to choose from if you're looking for a new doctor or are moving to the area. read more

Did you know that this practice has no regard for the patient at all?! They only X-ray your pocket, or rather your insurance, and work from there. I had been going here for several years and initially loved my primary who no longer works there. But sadly, about 2 years ago, I got the first bad taste in my mouth. I was waiting in the 6 person deep check-in line for about 22 minutes, and when I was finally able to check in I was advised that "I was over 9 minutes late and would have to reschedule my appointment because the doctor only has 15 minutes to see me." I staunchly said No after driving and hour to make my appointment, and explained I was in fact in the building the whole time. They were not kidding though, the doctor literally met with me for 4 minutes and 16 seconds, and yes I did time him on my phone. But I figured it was the only SNAFU I had, can't fault people for the WCMG policies of not caring about the actual health of a patient, right?! Well today I called to ask about getting my medical records. Since I now live far away and the only reason I still went to the practice no longer is there, I figured now is the time for me to move on too. I am going to be in the area tomorrow so I asked to have my records ready tomorrow afternoon. Not only was I told that it takes 30 days to get them, and quite smugly that they have 30 days by law and only 1 employee capable of handling the job of pressing "print" on medical records, that because they are coming to me, THE PATIENT, there is a 12 cents per page charge. However if they go to another doctors office they are free of charge. Why?! Why are You penalizing a patient?! I work in the medical field and not only would we never make someone pay for their own records it also wouldn't be an issue if they called and gave us 24 hours notice to get them ready for them! Just goes to show WCMG and Brookfield Family is al about the benjamins, and no sadly, not their patients with Ben as a first name. As a patient for 15 years.. And being on a certain medication for close to 30 years.. I find it unbelievable to find out after waiting close to 15 days for a refill on my blood pressure medication.. Dr. Amara was the only redeeming quality of this place and he's left the practice. Apparently if you don't live within a mythical radius of the office means you have "moved" and are no longer considered a patient. What about students? If I have come to you within the last year for a physical and have not transferred records to anyone else, how am I not a patient? When I called needing a one month extension of my birth control until I could make it in, I was told point blank no. It's been "so long" since I was in. Really? 11 months ago for an annual physical? I have severe PMDD and its birth control, not narcotics people. This woman showed no regard for my circumstances and every other provider I've been to has be willing to provide a Temp. Extension until you can make it in. Sadly this is the last straw for me and not my first disappointing encounter. The other dr.s I've seen here when dr. amara wasn't available have been pompous and cold. Wait times can be ridiculous for no apparent reason and staff appears disengaged. You have a choice when it comes to health care and trust me you can do better than this. There is no sense of patient advocacy or consideration for individual circumstances. I haven't been to the office in a few years because I have had no need to. Well, when I called to make an appointment, they cannot see me because I haven't been in a few years so I am considered a new patient and they are not accepting new patients. DR laurie schegick-Davis is one of the BEST doctors/pediatrician I have ever seen for my daughter! She ALWAYS makes time for us even if she has to see us as her last squeezed on appointment! She doesn't over medicate if she doesn't have too! I can ask her any question and she has the answer; with facts to back it up!! You shouldn't feel annoyed with your doctors or feel as if you don't know what their saying when talking- dr laurie takes the time to actually stop & talk to you about what is really going on (good or bad) this is my first child but I have seen plenty of doctors myself!! Give dr laurie a chance I think you will be beyond pleased! ( I was recommended to her by her nurse at an old office). read more

This place is awfull. I recently tried to get a consultation appointment at Brookfield Family medicine for my daughter. First, they refused, when I persisted they made an appt then cancelled​ it 1 hour before she was scheduled to come in. I've been a patient at this practice for over a year and each and EVERY time I have to call this office when I'm not feeling well, I have to deal with the rudest receptionts and nurses. Regardless of the person, or day or time I call, they consistently treat you like you are very much disturbing them. I was even told that THEIR doctors don't speak to patients on the phone, you either come in or your out of luck. I currently moved from New Milford CT to Brookfield CT and I was a patient at New Milford Medical Group. I was just told that I cannot become a new patient with Brookfield Family Medicine. Reason being, from the girl that I just spoke too on the phone even though New Milford, Brookfield and Danbury are "all in line together business wise" and they cannot do a transfer internally for an existing /new patient at another practice? I never heard of something like that and I'm in healthcare myself, it makes NO SENSE? What a disappointing phone call, and I'm a bit confused, I would really like someone to make me understand those guidelines. Even though Dr. Farrell is accepting new patients it seem to me that the girl I spoke to made me feel horrible and she was not helpful at all to me. Poor customer service especially in a doctor's office; at least put me on hold and confirm what you just told me cause it sounded like she was unsure herself.
