As a comedy writer/producer myself, I can't recommend Brooke enough. She is a rare talent and an extremely gifted teacher.

I just took the training in late Sept. 2020. I really enjoyed the class and the hand on training…read more The instructors are very knowledgeable and it's a great learning experience. The training happened during the Covid and it was kind of nice in a way because we only have 4 students which gave us plenty of time one-on-one with instructor and asking question. I highly recommend the class to any one who interested to learn more about coffee making or opening a coffee shop. It's not as simple as it seem.

The business portion covers everything about starting a coffee house. It covers negotiating a lease, startup cost, employee management and training. There is much more involving stuff that is too long to list but they do give you a binder with all the info and a USB with their presentations and handouts. They also give you a book written by Bruce Milleto. The barista portion was 100% hands on and you learn by doing and doing and doing. They have over 10 commercial espresso machines and more than enough milk to practice latter art. They are very easy going with the equipment and are not anal at all. They are very user friendly. I had some knowledge on how to pull shots and steaming milk but they really opened my eyes and taught me knew information. They also teach you other methods of brewing coffee. The class is led by Josh and man he is such a cool ass dude. Very friendly and outgoing and patient. I can tell he really loves what he does. Great guy with a lot of soul. Matt Milleto who is the vice president is such a down to earth guy very easy going and mellow. They both gave good hospitality to the students and provided us with really good food as well. They are both very welcoming and make you feel at home from day one. The school is also very intimate and the classes stay small.

The security team in the lobby was always helpful and polite, and there is bike parking in the basement. For the actual course I took: I decided to attend the Intro to Programming Course (evening/part time) at Epicodus once I knew I was moving to Portland from NYC. It was a great chance to meet new people, learn some new skills, and see if I might be interested in changing careers. The Intro to Programming Course was perfect for me because it allowed me to get a taste of programming without having to commit to a full-time program and was flexible around a work schedule. The price point was also perfect for me. Our instructor Kyle was great - he was happy to be as hands-on or as laid back as each programming pair needed. I loved pair-programming - there are so many online resources that you could technically teach yourself most of the programming stuff you'd need to know... but if you're an interactive learner like me that benefits from mutual accountability.... SIGN UP FOR EPICODUS. You'll learn so much from your partners, both about programming and how to think about problem solving. This course was totally worth it!

I would have liked to have those more frequently. The constant support from career services was helpful. And I am glad that support continues post graduation.

Vivian was incredibly clear and upfront about the lip blushing process, including the fact that it can be more intense than eyeliner or brows. For me, that was true, though I know it varies by person. My first pass healed lighter than I wanted, and at my follow-up Vivian really listened. She made sure I was thoroughly numbed and adjusted the color to a richer shade that I love. She also explained that some lips simply don't retain pigment as easily, which was reassuring and helpful to understand. Healing was easy, and I'm excited to see how the color continues to settle over the next few weeks. What really stands out to me about this studio is how kind, attentive, and thoughtful all of the artists are. One consistent approach I've noticed is that they intentionally go lighter at first, which makes total sense. You can always deepen the color at the follow-up, and it avoids ending up with something too intense. Overall, another great experience and I couldn't be happier with the care and results.

The tattoo looks a bit rushed, and the color doesn't quite match. At my appointment, I was told that most clients are happy after just two sessions, usually needing only needing a touch-up during the second session. However, when I reached out about my concerns, I was informed that I might need up to three sessions. I've seen $400 tattoos that look stunning, but my simple circle around the nipple unfortunately looks uneven and lacks a polished finish. I even mentioned some unevenness during the appointment, and the artist reassured me it was just swelling. Once that went down, it became clear that the unevenness remained. Given the amount I paid and what I was told beforehand, I expected to receive a decently done tattoo with maybe just a little adjustment needed. Instead, I feel like I got a result that falls short, and now I'm uncertain about how many more sessions it might take to get it right.

I was greeted by a friendly woman at the front desk (the school is run by a family). They were running somewhat on time. My youngest child went back almost immediately. My older child waited about 20 minutes, despite both children having appointments. The students took their time to cut my children's hair (youngest was back about 1.25 hours). I also like the fact that a shampoo is included in the price. Anna cut my youngest son's hair. I could hear her speaking to him and making sure he was comfortable. My son would smile at me occasionally. I will update with my eldest son's experience. CPI is the place to go if you're looking for affordable barber services. The owner supervises the students on the floor, showing them the correct techniques and overseeing their work. Where I'm from, I have never seen such care put into the student's craft. You can also schedule appointments online.

She really loves her craft and it showed, which in turn, made the class genuine and fun. I cannot express how much Brooke helped me grow in the span of 6 weeks. The Long: Ted single handedly gave me the fortitude to transition from stage to film, and made me feel in control and confident while doing it. When I came to Ted, I had recently graduated from theatre school, and though I had been acting on stage for years, I'd never really explored film. I wanted to be able to do both, but was overwhelmed on how to start. Enter Ted. He met with me, had me do an scene, and talked me through a specific, personalized, game plan for practicing film in class and on my own, based on where I was at in my career. Ted is a confident yet humble teacher, he's an artist at giving a small note that makes a big impact, and he keeps his direction focus, and (stressing this again) personalized. Now, years later, I am very fortunate to work almost primarily in film, and honestly have Ted to thank for jumpstarting my career. Finding a good acting coach can be difficult... Luckily, you can stop looking now. :)
