As many senior locations there is many things to do: * many nice sitting areas, * a well stocked library * a couple computers with a printer * a small movie theatre that shows 2 movies per day * a large dining area with new items daily * walking path outside. * multiple clubs for residents * happy hour entertainment events * you can have small pets * vans with rides and events * help me buttons included for residents * clean the room every week Checking with Mom she likes it so far. The food menu in the dining room rotates often and so far has been pretty tasty (we have eaten 2lunches and 2 diners). Areas to improve: --The wait staff in the dining area is pleasant but understaffed. At times there are long waits to get served and I have seen residents raising their hands to get staff attention. *the staff in dining room are friendly and helpful but they get overwhelmed at times* -- mom had a small engineering request we put in on Thursday and as of Monday we have not heard of any reply. All in all we are happy with the location... her one bedroom with all meals etc is a bit pricey at $3200 per month but so far it is worth it to see her happy and content.

Close to shopping amd highway as well...the staff is attentive and they care about the residents and community. They are Independent Living, but have home health services if needed and also on- site physical therapy. Shawnee Hills is a very lovely place to be!

We've waited 15 - 30 min. for someone to help my mother use the restroom where employees sat at the desk where the alert lights are used and take their time getting to the room. Mom is often left waiting in a wet diaper. Employees are often in the dining room when it is not being used, unused rooms, or seated in the large gathering space on their cell phones. I particularly wish employees were more engaged with elderly residents in wheelchairs were gathered in the main entry. We were told they gathered residents here for social engagement - but no one is socially engaged. The lack of engagement between residents and staff on their phones makes Lakeview advance patient care a very lonely place to be.

No communication between family member and staff. I am not sure where you got your rating 3 stars, but it did not come from the Rehabilitation floor. Please treat our precious and most valuable senior with respect, no like they do not matter! They do matter!

Visiting again today, put me back to that traumatic situation. Called again, and, well this time, I got a call back within 2 hours, but was told we choose to ignore your messages because they were rude. Autism or not, a senior manager should be at least listening, express understanding, and at least listen to and consider suggestions; not say oh, "you don't matter", "we don't care", "go away, and don't call again". That is not customer service. IF you just listened, said "ok", "I understand your frustration and concerns", "I will look into possible solutions", I would not have called again, and not only ignored, but if you had not told me off today, I would not have come online to make this review. Thank You!!!

This place might be good for elderly who cant think or ask for help, but it is advertised as a…read morerehabilitation source after surgery. I chose because it is a beautiful, classy building- maybe for some but my 3 day experience was the worst, most humilitating, uncomfortable, "rehabe" I have and will ever experienced. After total hip replacement I asked for rehab. My two friends went to other places and were given constant appropriate treatment. All this was, was a nursing home. My "rehab" was about 10 minutes a day with PT and OT, when they showed up. I was transported in a junky van, in a wheelchair, barely fit- lots of junk in back. I was wheeled in to find a small room, mattress about 4" thick of some kind of vinyl with only a stretchy cotton sheet that felt like a worn out t-shirt. When I moved it slid. Mattress was hard, very uncomfortable for anyone who had hip surgery, and came with 2 12" "pillows" that kept sliding off bed. Happily my friend brought up two pillows from my house because I was unable to get out of bed and retrieve the "pillows" on the floor. Blankets were like heavy knit sheets that constantly fell down on the floor and end of bed, not retrievable in my stat. . Regular nurse did a good job with meds when she came. CNA's or whoever they were were short, uncaring, and scarce. I resorted to walking the halls with my walker because lying on the plastic mattress cause for much pain. I asked for help getting my blankets back on bed from floor several times. "We'll get to it " My bedside tray was full of used and old stuff- no room for even my box of klenex. I walked out with my walker and asked if my room could be cleaned and blankets on floor at end of bed cover me as i was cold. "We'll get there". Also while i was asleep in mid afternoon someone put an egg salad sandwich on tray. Nothing else. Didn't clean. I saw them come in, and plop it down, but hours later when I woke back up I was afraid to eat it as it had been sitting there for hours. I went out and ask for some other food, Kitchen closed. No food. Tired of looking at the mess and blankets on floor I dumped all I could in waste basket and used my walker to push all the old food, blankets, used stuff out the door. Then went for a walk with my walker to get out of there. I heard one of the CNA's, busy with their cell phones and hamburgers, say "What's that in the hall?" I just kept walking. Ten minutes later they got off their asses and phones and cleaned up my room. I had to ask for a glass of water. Exhausted and in pain. I asked to be discharged immediately. Person was pissed saying "Now I'll have to change all the paperwork". Came in later and said I was approved to go but not until midnight because I had my 10 minutes of PT that day. I called my ex husband and had him pull up in front at 7 next morning. I loaded belongings on walker and hobbled toward to front door, and left. Nobody even knew I was gone. No followup, no calls, I was just gone, nobody cared as usual. Worst experience I have EVER HAD! PLEASE DONT GO TO THIS PLACE FOR REHAB- THERE IS LITERALLY NO REHAB AND THE MOST UNCOMFORTABE, HUMILITATING EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD! DIANE
