This was due to them providing incorrect CPT codes to the insurance company, which resulted in me spending half a day calling and verifying their errors. Eventually, the doctor called me and essentially said he did not want to provide medical care to my daughter at the risk of a financial loss and not being reimbursed for "highly expensive orthotics." Meanwhile, my insurance covers this in full after confirming and reaffirming with them. He is unprofessional, and his staff is incompetent. If your concern is about your loved on receiving quality care and not just being viewed as a price tag for reimbursement rates, I would not recommend this practice.
