I took my mom on a short trip to Port Aransas. We were only going to be there for one full day and I wondered if there was a service that could provide chairs and an umbrella for some shelter and there were 2 to choose from. One closed for the season right before we were to arrive. Fortunately, Bron's Backyard was still renting. The first interaction was that I reserved the wrong day. I called to correct it and they were so happy to change it. On the day that we went to the beach, they texted a picture and let us know that our spot was ready when we were. It was perfect! Right next to the ocean and felt like it was an area just for us, out of the way. Sean came by to see if we needed anything and was able to sell us a beach permit so that we didn't get a ticket for parking on the beach! He was so nice. We spent the day there and just needed to text him that we were done. I can't recommend this place for this service enough. My mom and I had such a great day! Thank you! read more

Really wanted to try this place since we could see from the street that they had activities for the kids, which is rare. We tried on Tuesday, but they were closed for a private event? Tried again Wednesday and they were closed all day. Tried again Thursday, closed again. Someone saw us and said they are only open the weekends. That would be awesome to know....they should post hours on the building and their website. Wish we could have tried them!! This place has the oldest, most run down, dirty golf carts AND the they have got to be the most expensive daily/hourly golf cart rental places on the island. Most of carts don't have speakers to listen to music, Or cool LED lights, and the one that I rented? the horn didn't work. (Maybe today is the day I just figured out the phrase "all the bells and whistles" really means because this place certainly did not have any bells or whistles when it came to golf carts, which is what they advertise primarily On the other hand, the actual backyard/property is nice. Their drinks are not too bad as they do sell pitcher- size amounts of alcohol and it looks really cool at night with all the lights (maybe that's where the golf cart party lights went!!). I can't think of anything else "nice" to say so I will just stop here because I was going to tell you about the nonsmiling, 'hurry up with your order so I can go back to doing nothing' teenager kid that retrieved my two margaritas that I ordered to the window for me to pick up, but I'll just again, stop here. read more

This is a very eclectic establishment in the fact that it is a live music joint serving margaritas with some fire pits, swinging chairs, and add a little chaos and you get the picture. Seems to be a place where the tourists and locals come to hear a decent cover band and mingle. They also bring their children (and a dog or two) which are usually running about the place. There is a lot of seating, but the place fills up pretty quickly, and only half of it is covered in case it rains. As for the cons, if you're new here, you'll notice they do not have any menus. Ordering drinks can be quite chaotic and they do not have any table service. They do have some decent margaritas and daiquiris from the $7 to $12 range, but their craft beer menu is very lacking. As for the craft beer, you get a can of Karbach for $4.75 with no glass and nothing on draft. One thing that's important to know is that they do not have a liquor license as of this writing, but supposedly in May 2023, they will which should be a game changer. Their mixed drinks and margaritas are made with wine-based spirits that are around 20% Alc. Food here is lacking with no menu, but they did have a crawfish boil the night we were here. If you need to use the bathroom, the facilities are basically upscale Porta potty's. They have a ping-pong table, and a cornhole area, and even a hatchet throwing cage; 3 throws for $5 (rented for a period of time). If you're looking for an establishment sporting a party vibe, this would be a good local spot to check out. Photos below add more to the story. read more

Live music was awesome!! Many games to keep entertained with; the fried mushrooms were yummy! The corn dogs were over cooked (for me) No liquor, only wine based drink's. They have beer. We rented a golf cart.... Oof the steering & alignment was rough and loose and would wander! Probably needs some suspension parts replaced as well... it was some rough riding. But, everyone was very nice, friendly staff! Overall pretty cool average service all around. Really fun family friendly place! Everything was clean, workers even the owner was helping clean and making sure customers had what they needed. Service was pretty fast, food took a little longer than expected but we had no problem waiting as it was during spring break! Always love coming here when in vacation. Been here every year for the past 5-6 years. Love karaoke night, always a lot of fun and the DJ does a great job. Love that my kids can come and just be kids and play around. So much for them to do, hula hoop, corn hole, ping pong, snow ones. Great drinks and the bartenders are awesome. This is a must whenever we are in town. Wish the video gaming area was still up like before the remodel but maybe it caused a lot of problems with the kids. But still love this place. read more

Fun place with a great atmosphere! Swings, corn hole, ping pong, and several other games plus a bar and a togo drink window make this place so fun! There is a small food menu for those who also want to come and eat. I had the burger with fries, onion rings, and the cheese curds and all were delicious! The burger was one of the best I've had in a while! The kitchen does close at around 8:30pm though so don't wait too late to order something! Came here with my family last night for drinks and games, and it was so fun! They had karaoke going and a full house. Everyone was playing cornhole and just having a great time. I love how this place can be for families with young kids or families with kids in their 20's (like mine). I feel like the city of port a has a really booming nightlife even for families, and this place does a great job of catering to that! If you need something to do after dinner, this is a great spot to keep everyone entertained and happy. read more

Came here with my husband for drinks. We were here during the off season so it was pretty dead sadly. This looks like it'd be an awesome place to come in the summer though. They have live music, games like corn hole, and swings. They have a "to go" bar at the front of the place with lots of different slushies and drinks you can get to go. We got frozen margaritas. The guy working it was very friendly. The prices were reasonable. They have "test tube shots" which is pretty cool but after 2 drinks and a test tube shot I wasn't even buzzed so the drinks must not be too strong lol. I saw they also have shaved ice. What an odd place. It's a golf cart rental. It's a shaved ice counter. It's a music venue. The grounds are nice, with plenty of shade to sit under plus corn hole and other games. I tried to buy a beer at the shaved ice window but there were so many customers, the two people working it couldn't keep up. So I sat down to watch Caleb Navarro. Now there's the best part of Bron's. He played acoustic covers and originals. What a treat. When the line was a little shorter, I tried to get a beer again. This time I noticed they only had three kinds, all of which I don't care for. Went back to watch the rest of Caleb's performance. I might come back but it will have to be for Caleb or something exceptional. read more
