The bus stop in less than two minutes away. Thereafter, there is a subway (fifteen minute walk) and tram station (ten minute walk) that will take you to central Stockholm. The check-in process was easy and took less than three minutes. The hotel reception area is small but the nearby kitchen and quiet seating area (consider taking your breakfast to this room) were really nice. Speaking of breakfast, I thought it was excellent and it was great to have eggs and bacon first thing. The rooms were decent sized and contained a bed, an additional bunkbed, flat-screen, desk, night lights on each side of the bed and a decent sized bathroom. The rooms are clean, the bed was comfortable and the internet was fast. We were pleased enough to try to rent our room for a day the following week but they were sold out. There is a large really nice supermarket three minutes away, a nice park two minutes away and a river with a walking trail along side (three minutes away) that will take you all the way to Stockholm. The hotel staff was especially friendly and I plan to stay here in the future.

This is an awesome hotel in Solna. Well worth my one week stay…read more The hotel is basically brand new (opened in January 2016) with a modern touch, unique from all the other major hotel chains we all know. The theme of the hotel is all to do with winery and has a great collection of wine. They have their own branded wine that they make in-house. The hotel also has a beautiful lobby and bar area on the first floor. The rooms are beautifully laid, comfortable, and quiet, however, they are a little small. The staff is friendly and helpful. They have one of the good breakfast meals and are located in close proximity to the Mall of Scandinavia. You can also access the bus close by, but to get to the train, you'll have to get a taxi. You can also rent the bicycles they have to get around. The Winery Kitchen Restaurant on the first floor has a nice menu for dinner and you need to check it out when you stay here. They also have a pizza restaurant across from the check-in desk which really has awesome food and drinks. Of course, don't forget to sign up for the winery tour! They have a winery just behind the front desk and you can see the oak barrels used to store wine. You can always request to have the tour conducted in English. Overall, wife and I enjoyed our week's stay here.

Really, really lovely hotel, looks newly built, so everything is modern, from the design to the…read morespaciousness, to the number of electrical outlets, including an outlet near each bed, with a small nightstand to put your phone, etc. A nice workspace/desk with chair also included. My only complaint was the lack of clothing drawers, and minimal closet space. Like, there was maybe 5 hangers with maybe 1 foot/25cm of width to hang clothes, and no luggage rack. That said, these were minor issues, and between the desk, and other surfaces, where was room to put our stuff out without putting it on the floor. The breakfast on the fourth floor every morning is fantastic. Not sure if every Swedish hotel does this or what, but there were multiple buffet stations, with every from eggs+bacon+pancakes, to a yogurt station, to an entire table of bread + butter, with multiple juices/coffee options, a separate fruit station, and the list goes on and on and on. The location is excellent if you want to go to the Friends Arena, or the Mall of Scandinavia (with lots of food options, both fast or sit-down, all of which are within easy walking distance. The Solna station (Pendeltag/commuter train system) is about a 12-15 minute walk away. Tip: Ignore Google Maps and walk through the Mall to get to the hotel if it's very cold outside. Bathrooms: They are bougie, with a nice design aesthetic, with plenty of bathroom countertop space to place things. Not sure what the other review was talking about with the shower compartment not being completely enclosed; our shower had a glass door, and minimal water spilled into the room. Oh oh! The flowers are heated! So nice.

It's also conveniently located next to public transport and my office. Rooms are nice with views specially on the upper floors. It's a very tall hotel with 25 floors. The only drawback is the absolute lack of closet space and the shower enclosure with nothing to stop water from splashing all over the bathroom floor. Staff are nice and there are restaurants on the 4th and 25th floor. I did not go to the 25th floor restaurant but did have breakfast at the other restaurant. As breakfast is always included get to the breakfast restaurant soon as it's a zoo after about 8am. Food is ok nothing special. I am sure I will be back here again. It's one of a handful of hotels close to my office in the area.

This was a delightful place to have a "Stay-cation" at!! The rooms were surprisingly beautiful…read more They were quite small, but wonderfully decorated! From looking at the fire escape plan it looked like ours was one of the largest rooms (and one with a bathtub.) Considering how small our room was, I would not want to go any smaller. I highly recommend you put in a request for a larger room! I wish we stayed two nights and had enough time to use some of the amenities. They had a sauna out on the lake in the front that you could use. There was also a spa that you could pay for services at. They had a nice game room and lounge with an ok mix of old and new decor. I think it could have used a little better restoration and design in some places, but overall it was pleasant. Most of the really nice artwork and details in the castle are in the conference room area. We discovered everything by sneaking in and walking around. There is also a nice looking wine cellar that you can book in advance. I think they also have an evening bar or cocktail area (that we never made it to due to a late check in!) The layout of the restaurant was not the best. I kept feeling like where they choose to put everything was not as user friendly or logical. They put the kitchen and the buffet across the entrance hall from the seating area. You could see the kitchen through the front windows of the main floor, which is not very proper. The whole food collection area for breakfast was in a hallway--which, of course was tight and crowded. But, thats a designers perspective, maybe other people don't care so much about those details. One other thing about breakfast was that the cook couldn't keep up with the demand, so over half of the food choices were out (and only replenished 15 minutes before closing time.) It was a good thing we were moving slow and enjoying ourselves because I would've missed out on a few things. Breakfast was really good though! I do have to say that!!! I loved the decor, but I could see a little to be desired in some small places that bugged me. The entrance was not as lavish as the castle's history should demand. The bluish "club lighting" was cheesy and needed to go. It looked like the area with the mini-bar in the room could have used a little TLC, it had watermarks and scratches all over it. The towels were stringy, old, had holes and needed serious replacement. The pillows were HUGE! My neck was killing me the next day. I wish they had smaller more normal sized ones behind the "presentation" pillows. I also didn't like how you could see the gas station behind the castle, it kind of ruined the ambiance. There should be a better landscape of trees or something to hide that. There was also no real outdoor area or gardens to enjoy like you usually come to expect at a castle. Even a small area would have been sufficient. There was also no gym. I find that strange for a hotel not to have even a small facility for use. Overall, I had a really good experience here. I would recommend someone to take a little wine and dine style spa weekend here. Or, in a more official capacity, hold a work conference here. I do think that there are nicer, bigger and more extravagant castles in Sweden you can stay at, but this one is convenient being so close to the city and the Bromma airport. It's a nice quaint little "get away" without really getting away.
