I got married in Manhattan in November and we were very happy with Cape Lily's flower services!…read moreSylvia and Cape Lily came highly recommended from a friend, and absolutely exceeded expectations. Sylvia took the time to meet with my husband and I before our wedding for a couple of hours to get to know us and our tastes. She came to the meeting prepared with tons of amazing flower recommendations, a photo collection to look through for inspiration, and a vast knowledge of beautiful color palette ideas and various styles. I'm not a flower expert, and since I was my own wedding planner, I was unsure of what I wanted (to say the least). Sylvia helped us to feel confident in our ideas - giving lots of guidance, but also listening to our ideas and helping us to articulate our vision. Throughout the planning process I changed what I wanted flower wise a number of times. Sylvia was completely flexible and patient and worked with me and my budget. As the wedding approached, she met us at the space for a walk through to confirm where everything needed to go, and to make sure we were on the same page, down to the last detail. I felt completely confident that my flowers would be beautiful by the end of the process. I was right to feel confident - they were beautiful! They captured the essence of my romantic, NYC Fall wedding perfectly. She traveled all over the city the day of to make sure groomsmen had boutonnieres and the girls had their flowers. I didn't have to think about a thing logistically, which is what one wants on their wedding day. Thanks Sylvia, for helping me to have a Pintrest worthy wedding! :)

If the flowers on your wedding day are something you are looking forward to, beware of this…read moreflorist. We hired Hedge for our wedding and found ourselves disappointed at every turn. Sadly, they made so many substitutions without consulting us and there were even instances where arrangements fell apart. During our consultation and correspondence prior to our wedding they were very warm and assured us that they would be able to provide us with the flowers (many for sentimental reasons) we requested. When our wedding day came, we thought they were bringing in flowers for another wedding by mistake. Per the suggestion of our wedding venue (who was also disappointed to see what Hedge produced for us...it was really bad) we requested a partial refund for the arrangements that fell apart and extreme substitutions they made. Sadly, they declined to do the correct thing. Hedge proved to be an untrustworthy vendor that would say anything just to get our business. They showed us that they do not care about their client's requests and wishes for their special day, only their questionable aesthetic and your hard earned money in their pocket (that they will gladly keep even after providing a terrible service.)
