They simply don't listen and they don't care. It was my experience that the GPs were unwilling to accept the limitations of their expertise when it comes to complex diseases; they are no more than general practitioners, yet will not provide specialist referrals when clearly out of their depth. In addition, I found them patronising, arrogant and condescending. I tried 3, just to make sure I wasn't dealing with a dud, but they were all the same. I felt that my health was at risk while registered here; it was only after I left that I realised just how much danger I was in I was rushed through the system for an urgent operation within 3 weeks and also given specialist referrals for diseases this lot had failed to pick up. The problem for taxpayers is that no one is accountable for failures by NHS GPs: not the PCTs, neither the Dept of Health. The Health Service Ombudsman is not obliged to investigate service failures, so that leaves NHS GPs such as those at Streatham High Practice to act with impunity; in short, they know they can get away with withholding care. The UK NHS is a system that essentially rewards failure. If I'd made such serious professional errors in my job as this lot, I'd have been sacked without a doubt.

They have nine doctors and inclusive opening hours, with appointments available on Saturday mornings. Till 8.30 pm on Wednesdays and from 7am three days a week making it convenient and easy to visit. Unlike many doctors in London you are usually offered an appointment the same day and the helpful receptionists and administration staff will do their best to accommodate you. The surgery is slick and efficient and the staff are always friendly and honest. If you live locally I would recommend that you sign up with these doctors immediately

This is the third time I've been here and I've never had to wait no more than 90 minutes which I think is pretty good compared to waiting in a hospital. The staff at reception are not very welcoming but the doctors I've seen are really nice. One Bonus is free onsite parking

The receptionists are warm and friendly and somehow this is the only doctors I have ever been to where I have not had to wait past my appointment time magic.
