Please do not go to Chiropractor Kirk J Shilts. He is talkative, and seemingly harmless at first…read more However, he will find subtle ways to be sexually inappropriate to you during your visit. Firstly he asked me to remove my shirt and put on a gown. This is not common and the room he put me in had a big glass window leading into the office that he was currently in while I changed that he could easily see into. He found various reasons to touch my butt during the appointment. These reasons ranged from pretending to adjust my gown, repositioning me, even saying he was wiping something off my yoga pants. He repeatedly pulled down my yoga pants to put his bare hands on my hips under my yoga pants during adjustments. This is not common and is inappropriate. He also had me bend over in front of him while he was sitting. He pulled me close enough to him that I was touching his knees and he kept his hand on my hips and under my gown. I asked two different chiropractors and they said that is not normal and feels very sexual in nature. During this appointment he asked me detailed questions about my relationship with my husband and why I didn't have kids. He also made comments about how I look like I'm very flexible and about how I must like adjustments even if their painful. Not to mention that him and I were the only two people in the entire office. No staff, no patients. I have never been so uncomfortable and scared. Between being alone with him, his invasive and uncomfortable personal questions, his comments on my body, and his overt sexual touching during non-adjustment moments, I genuinely felt like I was being preyed upon and needing to leave the appointment as quickly and safely as possible. I am only writing this because I'm scared for the safety of any other person who is his patient that he might do this to. There are so many other Chiropractors in Boston.. Please just pick a different one. Addition: the glass window was 100% not frosted. I'd also love an explanation as to why this chiropractor thought it was okay for him to touch my butt 3-4 times during non-treatment moments. Adjusting my gown or removing something from my pants is not a valid reason to touch a patients butt. Can you also explain why you needed to pull my pants down to put your bare hands me during an adjustment if I was wearing yoga pants?

Dr. Stern has been treating my family with chiropractic adjustments since I began seeing him in his…read morepractice in 2015, while I was pregnant with our second baby. At that time, the pains of pregnancy had rendered me unable to move or even find comfort in a restful position. During that first appointment I could feel the relief almost immediately and cried many tears of gratitude (while still on the table!) for how much better I was able to feel. Dr Stern's gentle technique was a style of adjusting I had never experienced before and had never heard of a chiropractor to use such non-invasive methods to achieve such dramatic results- indeed most chiropractors fit the stereotype of being "spine-crackers" who forcefully manipulate their patients, making their bones "pop" and it is for that reason that my husband at first completely rejected the idea of getting adjusted by a chiropractor. Until he witnessed first-hand the undeniable benefits I experienced under Dr. Stern's unique style of care.. still it would take 2 more years, the birth of our third child and his own health beginning to mysteriously and painfully deteriorate for him to give in to his apprehension and allow me to schedule an appointment for him with Dr. Stern, which was a relief and a bit of a miracle I wasn't sure I would ever see! But my husband experienced first-hand that Dr. Stern truly is the "real deal" and an exceptional practitioner in the art of chiropractic Care and it made a believer out of him. At this point, our family of 5 visits Dr. Stern regularly for adjustments as a family and Dr. Stern accommodates us comfortably and with privacy, giving us his attention in his quiet and peaceful office setting, which is adorned with beautiful art, crystals and other natural elements, inspirational quotes and an overall soothing and calming ambiance - soft lighting and a variety of beautiful background music -that makes every visit a respite from the busy racket of a bustling world. My overall review would be to say if you've ever thought about seeing a chiropractor to maintain your health, Dr. Stern is who you should seek out for your care. We lived in Millis when we first found him, and have since moved over an hour away but still make the drive back for our visits with him because finding someone "more local" might be convenient but we're not willing to find anyone else- Dr. Stern is the best there is and we're beyond satisfied with the care he provides for our family. Highly recommend.
