He began the repair and initially quoted approximately $350. My sister was surprised by the high price, but because the window was unstable and at risk of falling, she felt pressured to proceed. After about 10 minutes of work, during which he had already removed the window from its frame, the technician informed her that the repair would actually cost $530, claiming he had discovered additional issues. At that point, my sister felt she had no choice but to agree, since the window was already removed and she could not stop the repair midway. The entire repair took about 40 minutes. The parts he replaced--shown in the attached photos--cost approximately $75 when purchased retail. This means the company charged $465 for 40 minutes of labour, which is unreasonable by any industry standard. At the end of the job, the technician requested cash payment, stating that he would "not charge taxes" if paid in cash. This is highly unprofessional and raises serious concerns. The following day, I contacted management to file a complaint. They were dismissive and only provided a receipt after I insisted and mentioned the technician's cash request. The receipt they issued is not itemized--no breakdown of parts, labour, or time spent--despite my request. This lack of transparency is unacceptable and appears intentional. I have home camera footage confirming the technician was present for only 40-45 minutes. I also have proof of the actual part costs. There is no justification for the inflated price, the mid job price increase, or the refusal to provide an itemized invoice. Lessons learned (and advice for others): * Always demand a final price before any work begins. * Never allow a contractor to change the price mid job. * Request an itemized estimate (parts + labour) before they start. * Ensure the time billed matches the actual time spent. * Always insist on an itemized receipt. A vague receipt is a red flag. I acknowledge that I made the mistake of allowing the work to begin without a confirmed final price, and my sister felt pressured. However, the company's behaviour--price changes mid job, refusal to itemize, and a request for cash to avoid taxes--is unacceptable and unprofessional. In my experience, this company's practices are predatory, and I would strongly caution others to avoid them

The work was completed a week after that date because of the frequency of rain, but he kept us up to date during that time. His crew arrived on time and completed the job quickly and professionally. We were very impressed with how friendly all of them were and how well they cleaned up after themselves. We highly recommend Ajax Roofing and in fact have referred them to a friend who is in need of a new roof. They dispatched an unsupervised subcontractor to repair a roof leak at my home. It was an absolute disaster. Using sub-standard materials and atrocious workmanship, he actively made the leak worse--all while manipulating me into paying nearly $1,000 for useless "repairs". When the leak immediately flooded again, the subcontractor tried to extort more money from me, blamed me for his failure, and aggressively pressured me to grant him entry to my home. When another company representative finally inspected the damage, he explicitly admitted the subcontractor's work was completely improper and revealed they had been forced to fire him due to a string of client complaints. Despite sending a rogue contractor who caused further damage, management took zero responsibility. The unaddressed breach forced me to pay thousands out of pocket to have the entire roof replaced by a competent contractor. Worst of all is their cowardice in customer service. A representative promised to discuss my reasonable request for reimbursing the wasted $950 and get back to me. They completely stonewalled me and never called back. Leaving a retired senior out of pocket for a disaster of their own creation and then ghosting them is disgraceful. Operating under the name "Integrity" while abandoning customers the moment a mistake is made is pure hypocrisy. Look elsewhere.

They are a fly by night company that will not satisfy you. Their workmanship is terrible and even worst is their customer service. After dealing with squirrels in my attic and hiring a wildlife company to get them out and install protection to the entire house I proceeded to get my attic insulation removed and replaced. i then decided to get my roof done due to the damage. I met with Crystal and explained the entire situation including the squirrels and protection. I was very clear that the protection was to be put back or left in place. I was not willing to risk the squirrels getting back in after spending almost $800 on pest control. There was a lot of "yes sirs" and "we'll take care of it" talk but in the end it turned out they didn't replace the pest control measures and the squirrels got back in! I had to spend another $800 to do it all over again. When I went back to Crystal she flat out told me it wasn't their problem. She even sent me a doctored photo of my house before the new roof was installed where she photoshopped out the mesh over the vents! I of course had photos clearly showing the protection in place and sent them it to her. she did not respond. She then proceeds to tell me that the guys that did the work did not see the protection and that I didn't tell them to put it back. As if it was my responsibility to manage her crew. These are the same guys that left the back of my house a complete disaster by leaving all the garbage behind, broke the motion light at the soffit by the front of the house and didn't even collect payment at the end of the job. It was dark by the time they finished and I was dealing with my kids as they were cleaning up. I came out to see if they were done as it got very quite. Turns out they they were in such a hurry to get out of there they did even remember to get paid. I had to call Crystal and have them sent back to make payment. Thats right I had to call them back to get paid!
